Where do you buy earrings?

Just that really! A couple of years ago I bought a load of earrings from ebay as they fit my preferred style - a bit hippy - but as expected they were a bit cheap and have become quite uncomfortable to wear. I want to find somewhere to be my 'go to' for jewellery, but need some ideas!

For some reference, I quite like Dixi and Toonzshop, but find they can be quite hit and miss, and going from paying £3 to €20+ for a pair of earrings was a bit of a shock! But would be happy to if it means I get some nice long-lasting jewellery.

Etsy or local galleries which stock handmade jewelry from local artists.I like silver...can't be doing with cheap earrings any more.

Look on Etsy. What style do you like? Big? Small? Drop? Things with beads? Or plain?

I love this shop

All the things I have bought were nice quality and a fair price. They are based in Scotland

EnglishRain · 12/07/2020 06:55

I've had nice ones from Azendi

Most of mine come from craft fairs.

I find Jewellery Box very reasonable. I don’t know if they cater for your style but it’s worth a look.

I always find nice ones in TK Maxx. I can only wear silver or gold and they always have lots of nice ones in gold plated silver.

Pandora. I'm not a huge fan of Pandora but their earrings are within my budget, aren't obviously from there and they don't irritate my ears.

Sushi I hate to say it but those earrings and things are available from China in bulk at a couple of pounds each. You can literally buy the same ones on Ebay for about 4-5 pounds a pair from China.

Immigrantsong · 12/07/2020 07:36

QVC actually. Loads of variety, including gold, silver and gemstone ones.

For dangly earrings with fishhooks you can change the posts to hypo allergenic ones easily and cheaply. Titanium is good. It took me years of avoiding cheap earrings to realise that 🤦‍♀️www.serenityjewellery.co.uk/hypoallergenic-earring-hooks.html
