No Poo Method/Water Only

Just wondering if anyone successfully uses the No Poo method for hair washing?

I’ve decided to give it a go and am currently one week in on water only washing and I’m finding it not too bad. I’ve washed my hair twice with WO and the texture is different and slightly waxy but not greasy. It feels thicker, softer and less flyaways already though.

I’ve joined a couple of Facebook pages and it seems that everyone who does ‘no poo’ actually uses a mixture of incredibly random/messy/expensive alternative treatments instead.

I’m not really interested in saving my chickpea water or boiling special nuts or making vinegar rinses...does anyone actually JUST do no poo long term?

I've done it in the past and kept it up for a few years. I just used water only and after the first few weeks when it felt horrible it just ended up soft and clean. I spoilt mine when I decided to start dying it but may end up doing it again someday soon as I've given up the dye now.

I’m trying it now, have just gotten a boars hair brush as supposedly that is the best for getting it non greasy. It has definitely helped to stop the greasy roots but doesn’t feel great yet. Much less frizzy though

It needs dying though so I’m sure that will mess it up!

I dont make vinegar rinses as such- I just add apple cider vinegar into my bath, and wash my hair at the beginning of my bath. Do this once or twice a week. Gives me amazingly soft hair and eczema on scalp gone.
