Trainers for treadmill running

I'm about to start running again road and treadmill but no clue on trainers! I am quite hard on my feet when I run so want light trainers with great support and cushioning.

ON trainers look lovely but £130!! Saucony are another but do I need an expensive pair?! Help please!

I just bought New Balance 860 I needed support as I roll my foot when I run (I had my gait analysed at a shop)

You can get them for £75 from sport shoes.com

I’d say it’s important to invest in decent running shoes.

Can you get to somewhere that does gait analysis? Run and Become or similar will look at how you run and suggest trainers. They can work with a budget you set. I’d say that would be best rather than taking recommendations as different trainers will suit different people.

How wide are your feet? I looked into On trainers but found they are quite narrow fitting. If your feet are wide, I recommend Nike. I heard Saucony are great too.

Just bought another pair of ASICS gels - really lightweight and breathable Plus loads of bounce. £85 but got them for £60 with a new customer code..

I have saucony iso series trainers. They are the most comfortable trainers I've ever had for running on road and treadmill. Start fitness in sale for £60-70

Thank you!

I know they are expensive but its really important to have a good pair fitted to you. Don't worry what they look like, you need to think about your gait, otherwise you will injure yourself and have to stop.

Usually go to a proper running shop and get them to do a free gait analysis. But if that's not possible then at least do the wet footprint test (google it) to see if you are an under or over pronator and what arch support you need.

I've gone for some Asics, running shoes are quite ugly!
