Does anyone want to talk about tear trough fillers?

I'm a fan! First time today along with a couple of other 'maintenance' things done.

I'd be interested to hear about anyone else's experiences?

My skin is a bit rubbish atm along with some awful lockdown eyebrows but these have cheered me right up and I look a little less knackered!

Pics?!
I have gained weight so will reassess my face once my cheeks have gone down and got more sleep (been so stressed at work).

Wagsandclaws · 03/07/2020 18:31

I lost 4 stone so everything went south, ( sadly still got three to go ) I'll post pics but the scruffy eyebrows and no makeup in the after pic are a bit rubbish Hmm

It was worth every penny I thought. Please excuse the slight bruising on my forehead, I had a tiny bit of filler on some vertical lines in conjunction with some Botox two weeks ago and they've bruised but will go down.

Really pleased with the tear troughs though Smile

Fab results! I have been thinking about getting mine done but I don’t know if it’s just because my face is chubby now. My undereyes are just so hollow compared to the rest of my face.

Wagsandclaws · 03/07/2020 19:31

It was fairly painless and instant. I had the hollow bluey look to mine and it's really improved.

I'd be interested to see anyone else's before and afters?

Those results look good op. How long will it last? I'd consider if it got rid of them permanently!

blackeyebags · 03/07/2020 19:35

You look great OP!

I have deep troughs which are getting worse with age and would love to do this. Can I ask how much it cost?

I remember the first time I saw my school photo from when I was nine. Huge shadows under my eyes, I looked like I'd been beaten up.

Sammysamsa · 03/07/2020 19:36

You look fresher and it looks natural! How many mls was that?

Wagsandclaws · 03/07/2020 19:44

£200 so 1ml I think, he used a canula and said it normally doesn't need much under the eyes.

I can't believe the difference it's made, I don't look permanently knackered even without makeup!

I've been using Botox since I was 45 ( I'm 48 now) and in the last couple of years had subtle cheek filler and nose to mouth lines sorted as well.

I like a few lines left so not too much filler for me and I'd say they normally last about a year, maybe more, the under eye filler is about 6-9 months he said.

Ive never bothered with lip ones as it's all about looking less tired and brighter but not looking too different iyswim?

they look really great. you are brave! i have such deep set eyes that make me look shattered. i'd love to try this procedure. well done, i'm sure you're delighted.

onwheels · 03/07/2020 19:48

what was the immediate aftermath like? Did they numb the area? There is not a lot of skin at the eyes and this makes me nervous. Im approaching 40 and the deep set blue creases have been with me decades.

onwheels · 03/07/2020 19:50

how long did bruising take to go away- can you tell i really want the procedure?

cheeseslovesme · 03/07/2020 19:54

You look fab, great results. I had tear troughs booked for next week but it’s been cancelled as she’s not allowed to open . Can’t wait to have this done now . Thanks for the pics.

Wagsandclaws · 03/07/2020 20:00

I had it done at one o clock this afternoon, no bruising so far. It hardly hurt honestly. Done in ten mins and instant results.

My eldest Dd drove me and she said she could see straight away as I was approving the car Smile

He is realistic about what he can do for someone, it's about improving as opposed to looking completely different, I would never normally put up a no make up pic but I really am so pleased.

The bruising on my forehead is coming out but I can hide that, under the eyes so far so good.

I've never seen a bad result from him either on myself or anyone else, if anyone is in the SW or Bristol area I'd be happy to pass on his details, I always make sure that they are no1 registered doctors and no2 accredited with save face.

I used a couple of other people in Bristol before now and didn't go back as the results were a bit 'meh' never had that with him.

Now all I need is the magical eyebrow and lash tinting lady to open back up Wink

I’m interested in this but a bit scared of anything invasive especially on face and around eyes

MabelMoo23 · 03/07/2020 20:13

I’d love it but bloody terrified about a needle in the face and so close to eyes!!

Wagsandclaws · 03/07/2020 20:19

It's not as close as you think, more the top of the cheek and then he guides the needle via the canula.

Have you had this treatment before? I’m 35 but the crepiness under my eyes is far worse than your before and it’s starting to get me down. I feel ancient. I live in South Wales so would be glad for any recommendations please

Wagsandclaws · 03/07/2020 20:45

I haven't had this done before, he is based in Westbury so if you are based near the bridge maybe worth the trip?

I found it really hard to find someone I trusted especially for this but I have seen lots of examples of his work and he's always been brilliant with me.

How long does the whole thing take? I don't mean the actual filler, but getting an appointment, any pre-consultation and checkup afterwards? I'm asking because I'll be moving soon and not sure if I have time to do it here.

DieFly · 04/07/2020 08:46

They look great Op. I asked my Dr but just thought my blood vessels were close to the surface and I could get a lot of bruising. I'm gutted.

Wagsandclaws · 04/07/2020 10:17

Well he knew me anyway as he does some other aesthetics for me so last time I saw him for my Botox I asked about the tear trough fillers and he said they'd be fine so I guess if you want them done a doctor should be able to tell you if you are suitable at your actual appointment.

I had another dr three years ago also tell me I wasn't suitable for these type of fillers and I'd need an operation to get rid of my under eye bags instead, I didn't take his advice but it did put me off asking about them until recently.

Gosh you look great. I'm definitely going to check it out

DieFly · 05/07/2020 17:34

I'm going for some Botox this week so I might ask again or maybe she can suggest an alternative. I'm sure I read that cheek fillers can help with sunken eye sockets.
