I love that one PP!

Maybe a pashmina?

Cod & MrsB are usually good at this type of thing

They found me my bikini before me holidays!

CountessDracula · 26/09/2007 16:10

how about this with some nice black trousers and high heels?

CountessDracula · 26/09/2007 16:11

or this one would be good

fireflyfairy2 · 26/09/2007 16:12

Actually I would go for that top CD has linked to... with black/dark grey trousers & some really lovely accessories.

Nice heels.... bag... you would look fab!

I am a 14/16 & wore a strapless dress to my sisters wedding last year. I felt as if I was bare all day... but that may have been because I never usually wear anything dressy!

Nemo2007 · 26/09/2007 16:12

clothes usually go down well

honestly though dont be on such a downer about yourself.

nailpolish · 26/09/2007 16:14

i like this but its perhaps a bit over budget

nailpolish · 26/09/2007 16:16

wow look at those sleeves - the purple pic

nice belt too

peskipixie · 26/09/2007 16:20

like the long one cd, thats def in the running. other one is a bit short i need to be covered! but i do like the pattern and neckline.

i love the purple big sleeve dress!

only problem i have with long dresses is that im 5'9 and most are designed for shorter women so i end uplooking stupid

Peski, I am a size 18-20 and think Simply Be stuff is great quality I got this dress recently have had loads of nice compliments asking where I got it from -simplybeuk.drct2u.com/productcache/DAL/BO5460/AB807JR.html.gz also I got some magic knickers off ebay for about £8.00 which suck you in from all angles and give a nice smoothness under your dress as I too have a jelly 'c sect' belly which needs a helping hand as breathing in doesnt work for me nowadays lol, Good Luck!

poptot · 26/09/2007 16:24

I'm bigger than you but adore clothes and never let my size stop me looking good. Recently wore to a wedding a fab very floaty wrap style dress from Simply Be with black floaty trousers and heels, great jewellery and bag. Sorry can't do links.

peskipixie · 26/09/2007 16:33

TinyGang · 26/09/2007 16:59

InMyHumbleOpinion · 26/09/2007 17:12

www.yoursclothing.co.uk/yours-clothing/default.aspx?CategoryID=47&ItemID=24870

With brown trousers and HEELS

Brown quite slimming and Not Black

mybabysinthegarden · 26/09/2007 17:52

peski, the one you linked to is very similar to the one I had in mind. If you could find a sheer cardi to go over it I think it would look great.

peskipixie · 26/09/2007 19:35

these are all fab suggestions, thank you ladies. i am feeling a bit more confident that i might look ok now

i know its a bit old lady ish ,but try bon marche. i have a couple of bits from there, their sizing is generous and you might find a top or dress in there which is well under budget!! its really cheap but well made.

I'm a 16/18 (although currently 3rd time preggo so whale like) and I always wear a gorgeous maxi, sanders, and a pashmina or a jacket for weddings etc. Invest in real Spanx and a decent bra and have your hair blow dryed. You'll look beAut x

Thatsmyboys · 22/04/2015 17:55

Have a look at Boden for a maxi dress.
