Where do people buy bras now?

I used to have bravissimo sized boobs (30F) and would get all my bras from there. Now post children and weight loss I’ve lost a lot of volume so can’t buy from there any more but still obviously have the small back so am still limited in where has those sizes.

Now I don’t need so much support the idea of crop top type bralettes for under summer clothes is very appealing, but I also need some decent “work bras”.

I’ve looked on Figleaves, M+S, John Lewis but feel uninspired. Bra shop recommendations appreciated!

I like Gossard

I buy mine from Victoria's secret. I'm 42 and 32D and have given up on Mark's.

They have lovely well made styles and one I have has lasted 5 years.

Rigby and Peller

AnaViaSalamanca · 28/06/2020 16:23

I like rigby and peller - go for an appointment after lockdown, there is a lot more to fitting than cup and band size, e.g. boob shape, distance etc.

Boux Avenue

Thanks. I’m pretty good at knowing of a bra fits- since I moved away from a city I’ve tended to order loads online then find the ones with the best fit and sending the rest back. I’ve ordered some everyday ones from Figleaves which look fine but I guess since I lost weight I thought that would open up the possibilities of more interesting/fun options- especially since a higher level of support isn’t needed now. Has anyone had any nice bralettes or soft bras from anywhere? Preferably in bright colours?

Ive got really into non wired bralettes and I have quite big norks. I like M&S, victorias secret, and fig leaves. You can get some quite supportive bralettes and they are so much prettier and more comfortable. Ive personally never felt it was good for our bodies to be held in with wire. Bralettes are much better for lymphatic drainage in my opinion.

www.savagex.co.uk

I've not tried it but I noticed they've got a lot of bright bralettes

OhRosalind · 28/06/2020 23:33

Stella McCartney lingerie is lovely. The Outnet often has a good selection of bralettes.

I have these ones and I’m not sure I’m going to be able to go back to ‘proper bras’. They are one size but I’d say they were 28-32 band and probably fit c-e cup. They are fine support wise unless you’re going to run in them. Would like some brighter colours too will have a look as I think they are just generic and quite a few on eBay.

John Lewis. The online site has an excellent filtering system, which means in my case l can select the right style/size for me, nice colours and I am not wading through a forest of white and beige with enough padding for a duvet.

Victoria Secret. I feel like thats the only place I can find a decent bra that fits me properly. I also have a small back (32) and find that so many bras losen up so quickly and dont hold everything in place, but VS's are really durable. And they are cute

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/06/2020 17:26

I’m a 32D and like Freya bras. I tend to buy from online stores on eBay because I know the styles I like - Belle Lingerie is the one I use most. There’s also a Fantasie one I like which I bought in the JL sale and have repeat bought via eBay.

borntobequiet · 29/06/2020 18:33

Local independent lingerie shop, run by a lovely lady who would never let you leave with a bra that didn’t fit perfectly and make you look great.

DysonFury · 29/06/2020 19:21

Honestly? Tesco. And they are cheap and excellent quality and the sports bras are the stuff of dreams.
Previously I've worn Rigby & Peller (now Fauve) down to Asda, but Tesco blow them all out the water if you are bigger of boob and smaller of back (32E) like I am.
