New Wash and my dry menopausal hair.

Since the menopause swung through my system, my thick, wavy hair has turned into a frizz mop.

I bought a bagful of this insanely expensive hair cleanser. I don't mind that it doesn't foam and I like the smell very much. And to my intense annoyance my hair loves it, so I'm stuck with it.

I wet my hair, rub a good handful through it and then clip it up while I shower. Then comb it out and rinse. That's it. Just one wash. No conditioner. Sometimes I use a blob of styling cream.

Been using it for about a month now and my hair feels lighter and about 80% of the frizz has gone. When I blow dry it straight, it falls into place much more easily. And when I leave it to dry naturally, it falls into waves intstead of frizz blobs. I know that it doesn't work for everyone but it's been a godsend for my dry, frizzy hair.

No I don't work for the company and I'm pissed off that it's so expensive but in the long term I'll save on conditioner and anti-frizz bollocks products.

do you mind me asking what you're using like you i have frizzy hair over the years i have used countless products but none work

Hi hustler sorry I've only just seen your message.

It's called New Wash and I used their 'rich' hair wash. I got the 20z one which was £100. Shocking I know but I only wash once and then use nothing else, no conditioner, no anti-frizz useless bollox. I've also blow dried my hair straight and it looks much silkier but even when I leave it to dry it falls into waves and curls rather than a puffball.

Been using it for a month and I'm still very happy. You can buy their hair balm but I'm using a bit of my own conditioner called Velvet Curls.

I tried the regular New Wash and also liked it. I did find the price too much to justify and I've been using www.percyandreed.com/products/percy-and-reed-perfectly-perfecting-wonder-cleanse-nourish?gclid=Cj0KCQjw9IX4BRCcARIsAOD2OB0r4pL--VpL1Ivy-jDkbpsz07KEIzwrngsGfM5OyPIhgbzen0skwRIaAsaVEALw_wcB

Thanks to this thread I now see is on sale so think I'll buy done more. Can't say whether it is as good as the New Wash but also smells lovely.

babyboy let us know how you get on. The New Wash is buttock clenchingly pricey . . .

I love the Percy and Reed stuff. Suits my hair and seems much the same as New Wash but I can't say I saw as much improvement as you with New Wash. I do find that my hair feels much nicer now I don't use shampoo. I have been experimenting with bleaching my hair in lockdown so have been using other things like olaplex etc too. I would suggest giving the Percy and reed stuff a try. It's normally £20 for 250ml and when I bought New Wash I thought it was about £40+ for the same size bottle so less than half the price but still not exactly cheap. I have occasionally used shampoo. This also makes my hair feel so much nicer and straightens it (not completely).

There has been a lot of playing around with my hair during lockdown. 😊
