Has anyone bought an anti ageing gizmo to use at home?

Hi, I'm mid thirties and feel like my forehead has got a lot more creased recently (I partly blame lockdown!).

Has anyone ever bought a gadget to use at home that they would recommend? I saw an advert for a 'dermawand' from boots and made me think maybe something like that would help (as opposed to botox, I'm scared of looking 'frozen').

Thinking about getting something with radiofrequency or infrared light, just wondering if anyone had any experience with them?

I bought a NuFace mini two weeks ago and using it most days(5 out of 7). I immediately noticed a difference but used it for a good 25 minutes the first time. Used to have radiofrequency at a salon and can honestly say this is money better spent (so far), the difference is subtle (mostly in tone and ‘awakeness’) but my skin has been improving from Day 1. I promise I don’t work for them! Check out some videos on Youtube to see the results.

I have had a dermawand.and a couple of nu faces, and didn't think much of either
The thing I found made most difference is an LED mask, my daughter was so impressed she immediately sent for one
The only downside is you need to sit or lie in one place to use it,which is why i haven't used it in a while,,made a difference to my skin, but i am looking for something to help with neck
I have also had a lightstim, which i liked , but i am r=thinking now about a sensica sensiliftknow of anyone who has had or got one

FOREO - expensive but so worth it

Marahute · 26/06/2020 01:39

@princessTiasmum

Current Body do an LED mask that is for the neck and chest (more like a bib than a mask).

@princessTiasmum

Do you have a link for the led mask? Thanks :)

I bought a beauty star led mask, I had cystic acne and credit it for my lack of pitted scarring.

Always do red light last.

Mamette · 26/06/2020 09:28

@pinkrain what Foreo product do you use?

princessTiasmum · 26/06/2020 10:14

Marahute thanK you yes i have seen it, but would also like something i can use separately, as using a mask you can't really do anything else like read or watch TV

princessTiasmum · 26/06/2020 10:21

Custardcreamies actually it was reasonably priced on ebay,smy daughter got a more expensive one,and mine is just as good
The light strengths are the same strengths as the more expensive ones
If you put a search in on MN you should find a thread about them and various comments on how they worked for different preople

Marahute · 26/06/2020 13:03

@princessTiasmum

You can actually it separately from the mask: www.currentbody.com/products/currentbody-skin-neck-and-dec-perfector Smile
I have ordered the mask, but if it gives good results then seriously considering saving for the neck and chest add on. My mask is arriving today!

Thanks!

lab-lifeandbeauty.com/product/jawline-definer

I have this - got it last summer about half that price from QVC - definitely has made a difference yes. You don't need special gel just use over a moisturiser that contains aqua - there are 3 settings, I use it on red which is microcurrent.

Planetaryexplorer · 26/06/2020 18:49

Has anyone tried these:

Possibly too good to be true?

princessTiasmum · 26/06/2020 22:57

PilatesPeach i bought a similiar one recently from Amazon, but sent it back as it vibrated --a lot, and was not comfortable,it would have given me a headache i'm sure,
Does this one vibrate, ?
I might look at this one if not
