Big boobed cyclists - kit recommendations?

larrythelizard · 20/06/2020 11:33

I've just got a bit more into cycling and think I need to sort my kit.

I have some bib shorts but no cycling top (I don't know what they're even called?!). I am a 36FF and a have long body - any recommendations for brands that might fit nicely?

Also, what do you wear anything under the jacket/top?

Thanks!

You could try Velovixen? Loads of brands there, you could also try joining the Zwift Women's group on Facebook for kit recommendations.

I think I have the opposite shape to you (petite and very much a pear), but my experience has been the unisex jerseys are too long in the body, baggy at the shoulders and snug round the hips, so I look for women’s cuts. My personal favourites are from Sugoi and Primal wear. The Velovixen link looks good, I think that the Minx, where I bought quite a bit of my kit, is closed.
Look on Wiggle too, their own Dhb brand is good value for money and there are reviews which might give a clue to the sizing.

I would start with a short-sleeved jersey and maybe a pair of arm-warmers. I usually wear a very thin base layer underneath as does DH.

As a curvy 18 all my cycling clothes are form Dare2B.

3rd recommendation for VeloVixen. They are good at responding to Qs so could probably recommend a couple of brands to you.

I've got the opposite problem (small boobs) and tried Primal because they're such cool designs, but they were way too big in the chest, so they might work ?

Thanks all...got distracted and forgot to come back!

Will check out Velo Vixen and also Dare2B.

DH (used to be a keen cyclist) pointed out I should consider where the brands are from, ie Italian brands for men tend to be very traditional and slimmer cut so likely to be the same for women's too.
