Hair Too Dark!!!!!

Hi everyone! I got my hair dyed at a salon the other day. I had previously been a super light bleached blond (am naturally medium-dark brown) and this was the second time I was getting a brown (demi) colour put on, as after the first time, it had faded substantially on the areas that had been blonde. However, I've left the salon with hair that looks black in most lights and occasionally brown under direct light indoors (but not under sunlight which is odd). I am wondering if this is likely to fade after a few washes, as I am thinking, because my hair was so porous from being blonde, perhaps it grabbed onto the colour too much, hence the blackness? I really am freaking out as I just wanted to go back to a medium brown and let my hair grow and never touch bleach again, as it has been damaged significantly!!! I am wondering if anyone has any advice or ways I could try and fade it without it kicking up too many red tones? Thanks in advance!

Yes, it will definitely fade.
I've heard others recommend washing it with washing up liquid.
Where are you btw that you have salons open?

Thank you, I'm a bit wary of using washing up liquid as I've heard it's very drying! And I'm in Australia, luckily!

Don’t put washing up liquid on your hair. Especially as it’s already significantly damaged. Such an awful suggestion.

Use head and shoulders shampoo instead. This will fade the colour but will not strip your hair of nutrients or dry it out, as washing up liquid would

Also contact your salon? It’s normal for colour to look a bit darker than anticipated, but I wouldn’t be happy about walking out with black hair when the goal was medium brown. Perhaps they mixed the colour incorrectly? They should be able to rectify their mistake without bleaching your hair

Thank you, I will try head and shoulders and also contact the salon fingers crossed something can be done, I feel like a goth!!
