For me it’s The Kooples.

I love all their stuff, little floral dresses with leather jackets, studded boots and grey jeans, a little bit rock and edgy but still feminine.

However, I am too round and too short to fit into any of it, and even if I could I don’t have that carefree urban look about me that you need to complete the image.

Im too chipmunk and not enough Bambi.

Ann Demeulemeester.

I'm too plump and homely.

TheMurk · 12/06/2020 22:38

Oh yes love Ann Demeulemeester. I am not willowy enough for that.

Joe Browns stuff, love the prints and quirky designs but nothing I try on in their range looks good on me

PurpleDaisies · 12/06/2020 22:43

Whistles.
It does absolutely nothing for me. I don’t think they cut for women with boobs.

turnthebiglightoff · 12/06/2020 22:53

Agree re Whistles. They do not care for 5'3" size 12's. See also: Ghost

White Company for me. I really love their clothes but instead of wafting about in loungewear in a navy/white/grey palette I look like I'm wearing school gym kit.

SamVimesFavouriteDragon · 12/06/2020 22:56

I wish I was the right shape for all my old Jack Wills stuff Blush I'm sure someone will come on and tell me I'm too old for it (as my mum likes to remind me) but I loved it my old wardrobe and my post baby body does not fit it at all

Rainallnight · 12/06/2020 22:57

Totally agree about Kooples. Very good point.

SlightyJaded · 12/06/2020 23:08

Zadig and Voltaire.

I love everything in their window, every time I look.

I need to go down two dress sizes to even think about it.

Lockdownhairdontcare · 12/06/2020 23:20

Reiss. I’m too fat!

Tempnamelady · 12/06/2020 23:21

How funny was going to say the Kooples too.I love it but just not on me.

hammeringinmyhead · 12/06/2020 23:50

Another 5ft3 size 10/12 here, with 34DDs, and for me it's AllSaints (the jackets are fine, but I love the dresses and knitwear). It's all too long and droopy on my height.

chipsandgin · 12/06/2020 23:53

All saints, but like most labels they don’t do tall...so off to the frumpy brands we go!

Sandleman · 13/06/2020 03:18

Toast - I’m too short and dumpy. Also LaDoubleJ - love the graphics but I’m too frumpy

nightlantern · 13/06/2020 13:18

Reformation, Sezane or Rouje.

In general, the typical French style that seems to look so effortless and easy. Especially the floaty summer dresses. Unfortunately I have really short legs and both boobs and hips. Anyone I've ever seen pulling off the style successfully had long model legs, minimal curves, and good enough bone structure to also do the minimal/no make-up look.
I don't have the lifestyle to go along with it all either - summers working in an office in London don't really call for the same outfits as strolling around cute villages in Europe. I'll keep dreaming.
