Beware fake Biore Watery Essence

I got badly sunburnt on my face the other week and I think it’s because my Biore suncream is fake. I have used this product for several years, and have bought from various sellers on amazon and eBay with no problem til now. I just wanted to post some pics so that you know not to rely on this product if it looks similar to mine. In all pics, the dodgy one is on the left. Even the colour is different (white not yellow). I feel a little foolish for not noticing.

Also, any advice what I should do about this? I have contacted the amazon seller and they are investigating but should I do anything else? I’m pretty cross as I’m so careful with my facial sunscreen what with being in my 40s and using acids and scrubs. I have been using this during the recent hot weather and as well as the sunburn I have a faint melasma coming

Does the fake one still contain spf 50?

@HyperStella I got mines at my local Asian grocery store. My mom made me worried that it might be fake, and I saw your post on google image when I was doing some research. The package is like the left one on your post, but the product itself; is the right one! @cinammonbuns I want to thank you for confirming the scent of the product! MINES IS REAL YAY

I stopped buying from Amazon for this reason and have ordered from stylevana hopefully it will come through ok

I think I may have bought a fake, but I do remember it working - I sat in the sun for an hour or two with it on my face and nowhere else - my face didn’t burn but my arm did.

I used to buy mine from yesstyle but my John Lewis credit card flagged it as suspicious activity! Agree that the LRP one is not like for like but it does work and is relatively sweat/water resistant. I have a marks and Spencer’s primer with factor 20 which is very similar to watery essence, I use that in the winter (it’s not very sunny here)!
