Permanent Hair Straightening

I'm not even sure if there's such a thing?

I'm looking for a product/treatment that can permanently straighten my hair without a huge amount of damage. I've always loved the look of straight, sleek hair but don't get that until I straighten my hair. Even then, it doesn't stay like that all day, EVER!! My hair is very frizzy and mostly curly. So unmanageable. Can anyone recommend anything similar to the what I'm looking for?

There’s chemical hair straightening. It’s not fully permanent but lasts months I believe. Needs to be done by a professional though.

Japanese straightening systems, like Yuko, will permanently straighten your hair. If your hair is as curly /frizzy as you say there could be issue when your hair starts to regrow though.

My hair is mostly straight but suffers from some random /frizzy waves so for me regrow the isn’t too much of an issue as there isn’t an obvious texture change.

I used to get Liscio straightening done here: en.hayatosalons.com/page/london-menu/

It is properly permanent. The only problem is that you will have new hair growing in that won't be straight. My hair naturally forms a frizzy triangle - straight-ish on the top due the weight of the hair and curly at the ends, so I used to be able to stretch it a year between treatments. If you have very curly hair you might need it more often though, and it is pricey.

I stopped doing it when pregnant because of the formaldehyde. I have my natural hair texture and it is a PITA so I am wearing it up most of the time. I am thinking about trying the OXO straightening that they offer (nothing to do with the stock cubes) as that is formaldehyde-free, more natural and supposed to be safe whilst breastfeeding. I thought I might leave it until I finish breastfeeding though just to be on the safe side and everywhere is closed due to the virus at the moment anyway.

I should add that I have hair that was very resistant to being straightened with normal hair straighteners too and poofs out slowly throughout the day if I try, but the permanent straightening really worked.
