Shampoo for teenage boy

Could anyone recommend a good shampoo for a manky teenage boy?!
My son has white blond, very fine hair. It is currently quite long and surfer-y. However I can’t find a shampoo which works for him. His hair gets greasy quite quickly and he gets dandruff, but any decent shampoo weighs his hair down and makes it look lank. He also has sensitive skin so anything too chemically makes him itchy. Kids shampoo is fine for his skin, but doesn’t wash his hair properly. Any suggestions?

My son and I use the body shop ginger shampoo. It got him through the greasy teenage years and stopped dandruff after the first wash for both of us. I think it is the only product I have ever been loyal to for the last 7 years!

I agree the body shop ginger shampoo is excellent for greasy teenage boys.

Also have a teen with very greasy hair. I got him Aussie MAN Keep it Clean which works really well, I buy it in Sainsburys. Is he rinsing the shampoo out properly as I know if I don't it makes my scalp get itchy and flakey?

I'd say vosene. My son's hair is also very long and fine, and he needs shampoos that are clear and liquids (if that makes any sense) rather than thick and gloopy.
The T-Gel one is also v good, but £££, particularly if he washed his hair every day.
My DS is a little younger (11) so he's still using baby shampoo which works well on fine hair. They no longer stock the one he uses, so when this bottle is finished he'll be switching over to vosene with me.

And I agree with Anon- it's the rinsing that is crucial, DD's becomes terribly greasy when she hasn't rinsed properly. Because I still rinse DS' for him, he goes four or five days between washes unless v sweaty. DD's can need washing the next day if she hasn't rinsed thoroughly, and every other day is far better for her scalp.

It’s a good point about him washing/rinsing properly, but he’s a bit old for me to go in and do it for him! I will have another chat about it.
