Is Vita Liberata body blur worth the money?

It’s been mentioned lots by various Youtubers that I follow but I was quite disappointed when I saw it was £30 for 100 ml. I use Sally Hansen which is ok but a little bit orange for my liking.
Has anyone used this, would you recommend it?

I like it, it’s better than the Sally Hansen one, you don’t need much so it lasts longer than you would think. I find it works best if you use a cheap body lotion first, spreads better and you use less.

I've got both. I think it depends how much coverage you want. My legs have spider veins and loads of bruises so I find SH better in terms of coverage. VL is a nicer colour but doesn't cover as many imperfections

Yes I do-I've had my tube for a couple of years now and it's still going

I find it easier to work with than the SH one

Thanks. Think I might splurge especially if it sees me through a couple of summers.

You can definitely get money off if you order via Look Fantastic. If you look at YStyleIreland on Insta, she has a code.

Yes, I'm on my third summer from this tube of body blur (although it's probably going to run out soon). I've used the Sally Hansen too, and prefer the Vita Liberata, it's less messy and rubs in better. Also it washes off easier in the shower too. I find I get residue on my towels after showering if I've used Sally Hansen no matter how well I think I've scrubbed, but a normal showering will deal with the body blur.

trumpisaflump · 29/05/2020 15:35

@TheBitterBoy This probably sounds disgusting but I don't wash the SH stuff off at night. It's kind of water proof so only comes off when you scrub it with a soap and sponge so I just let the shower water run down my legs. I can get about three days out of one application if I don't use soap on my legs. Great on holiday when you are sunbathing or walking about with your legs out. I'm only admitting this as MN is anonymous Blush

The Sally Hansen works better for me but I use it both for tan and coverage, I don’t put a base tan first. The Vita Liberata doesn’t have enough coverage for me. See if you can get a sample somewhere, I got a good sized Vita Liberata sample from Red or one of those mags last year. They might repeat it.

I haven't used this but, if it's for legs, I swear by This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle. Gives a lovely hint of colour and blurs imperfections. I use on the bottom half of my legs only at the beginning of the summer when I'm starting to get my legs out.

Agree with Karmagician This Works Perfect Legs Skin Miracle is brilliant. Nice colour and really easy to apply. Thought Sally Hansen was awful. Thick consistency and really unnatural 'american tan' orangey colour. The body shop do a spray called Honey Bronze which is really good too but a bit messier to apply than This Works

ButDoUAvocado · 29/05/2020 22:01

I think it depends how much coverage you’re after. I’ve got the Sally Hansen one and This Works and I much prefer SH as I’ve got loads of thread veins. This Works is ok if you already have a bit of a tan and have got good skin but it doesn’t offer much coverage and I also don’t really like the smell.
Also with SH, go for a lighter colour than you think you need and don’t use too much.
Practise makes perfect too, I can get it perfectly blended in on each leg in a minute or two now I’ve done it so many times.
