Peel off black mask, have you used them? What do you think of them?

They were all the rage a few years ago but I've only just gotten round to trying It last night. It bloody hurt. Not sure my skin feels any better for it but it has got rid of my fine lip hairs.

Have you used them and if so what do you think of them? Worth the pain or just a waste of money?

If it’s the black charcoal ones, my teenaged son uses them and they have improved the condition of his skin, it’s clearer, less blackheads on his nose and chin.

Really good stuff...It takes off the top layer of dead skin that you thought you didn't have. Also cleans out your pores.
You should try the charcoal bubbling mask. I love it. It's soo relaxing when the bubbles pop and your skin feels squeaky clean.

Biore ones are terrifcally disgusting when you peel them off!

Worriedaboutthefuture1 · 27/05/2020 13:01

Do they hurt?

LittleFuckersAbout · 27/05/2020 13:07

It’s not as sore as pulling off a plaster but similar sensation.

It's the charcoal one yes, I got a sachet of it from Superdrug whilst in there yesterday and thought I'd try it out.

It's good to know people rate them. I did find it quite painful but not unbearable.

My skin doesn't look great with foundation on usually so I'm excited to see whether removing that top layer of crap from my skin makes a difference.

I bought a chemical peel from the ordinary but that just broke me out in spots so I must have sensitive skin.

I made some with non-toxic school glue and activated charcoal. OMG. The pain when I went to peel it off! It made my eyes water... And I didn't see much difference. But that might be because it was glue and charcoal...

No I think they're awful for skin. Check out some reviews from registered dermatologists

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/05/2020 15:25

I tried one & it was agony, my poor skin. Dh tried it, oh the performance.

Worriedaboutthefuture1 · 27/05/2020 16:31

Oh I don’t think I’ll bother then. I’ve got quite a peach fuzzy face so it would probably really hurt at it pulls out the hairs.
I think I stick to the M&S face peel gel, which does work really well for me.

Dh tried it, oh the performance.

I want mine to try one just for the comedic value Grin

I have sensitive skin with some dry patches and I really don’t like them - I’ll stick with my soothing sheet masks! I’ve found the best thing for me getting rid of the top layer is the cranberry peeling mask from Nature Republic it also smells lovely and is super cheap!
