Is this Rosacea?

Over the past few years my usually fair and even toned skin has become redder and redder. Recently I've had a couple of episodes where I've been bright red and my skin has felt like it's burning. A bit like your face feels when you come into a warm room from the cold.

I've suspected Rosacea but I don't seem to have the usual symptoms. No broken capillaries (except round nose which have been there for years) no pustules (the pic shows a couple of spots but that's as I've got period at the moment).

I'm 45 so I've also just suspected it's another lovely peri menopause thing but from this pic does it look like rosacea?

Is this Rosacea?

Did anyone use Soolantra and not get good results?

Just be careful of Mirvaso as it can cause rebound flushing in many cases which is much more intense than the initial flush. Research mirvaso and rebound flushing to see what people have said.

I have the flushing subtype of rosacea and literally nothing works. I’ve done laser, elimination
diets, every diet basically and I still flush. Mainly in the winter in heated rooms, going from cold to hot, stress, hot drinks, sugar, honestly so many things. I started flushing in my teens and I’m now in my forties. I’ve given up but you have my sympathy.

Hello, I have Roseacea which is currently controlled with taking Lymecycline (antibiotic). My skin is very clear (yay).
I think it is related to the peri menopause and the menopause, as there is increased flushing.

Your picture does look like Roseacea, with the redness and spots. Deffo get GP to prescribe Lymecycline for you.

I’m in it long term, as my skin was so awful!

Justanother thanks for the advice about Mirvaso. I had looked it up and seen that it can cause flushing. I figured I'd give it a go and see what happens. I'll start with very small amounts at first.

People who are taking antibiotics long term, do you take any probiotics or anything else to counteract the loss of good gut bacteria etc?
