How can I improve my skin?

So, I usually wear a full face of heavy make up as I’m so insecure about my skin and no one ever sees me without it apart from my partner. I’ll do a full face just to receive a delivery from the postman, won’t answer door if I don’t have make up on etc. You get the idea.

I’m pregnant and realise that doing a full face every day & having the energy to take it all off at the end of the day just won’t happen. SO, I need tips, tricks & your HG products to sort it out!

I have extremely dark circles under my eyes. My skin is dull & dehydrated looking ( I do drink a lot of water). My pores are huge, I have a lot of scarring from spots. I get huge cystic spots usually around my period but am still getting them now I’m pregnant. My skin is just so uneven. I just want to look brighter and have less scarring.

Currently I use an oil cleanser, then wash my face with a face wash and moisturise with Aveeno. Wear SPF under make up if in the sun. Have used hyaluronic acid & toner, never noticed a difference. Anything you’d recommend?
Thanks!

I don't share your skin type but briefly:
Keep double cleansing
Always wear SPF
Persevere with any new skincare additions as it can take a while to see change.
I'd try hyaluronic acid again.

I think you may need an acid toner but I'm dry/dehydrated so no good to advise.
I'd look at a vitamin c serum for the mornings.

Vitamin c might be too harsh while your pg, pg makes skin more sensitive.

I’d stop moisturising if you get spots though. I had acne prone skin before I took roaccutane and I don’t use moisturiser now.

I always thought the whole oily skin can be dry was like saying water can be dry.

Paula’s Choice BHA liquid. Magical stuff.

Be careful with bha in pregnancy. I know you're not supposed to use salicylic acid and that's one of the ingredients I think.
