Home IPL machine and spider veins

It is a daft question but I am interested.. Has anyone with a home IPL machine (Smoothskin, Lumea etc) used their machine for spider veins with any success? I know you can go to beauty salons/dermatologists for IPL treatment for red spider veins but does home IPL work also?

Following as I'd like to know too!

Good question. I want to know this too!

Sadly no, it can take a few treatments with a professional IPl.
The at home ones aren't powerful enough.

I don’t know, but I had electrolysis for my spider veins and it hurt like a bastard!!!!! Worth it though

I researched this extensively the other day (and have looked at it before, hope springs eternal). No. Wrong frequency/type of pulse. It will not help one bit and might even be bad. I got my face done with vbeam (gold standard! at the clinic at the Royal Free pretty inexpensively but it left massive bruises (as it does).

wizzbangfizz · 26/05/2020 10:53

@nannymags how much did it cost and how many sessions?

nannymags · 26/05/2020 14:49

I can’t remember but it was in prima Britania in Hammersmith’s. Pretty no frills but lovely trustworthy staff , very clean and professional. They did my nose and cheeks..... and a few other blemishes. It worked well but had to go back for more on nose as I’m always blowing my nose which makes them come back
