What do you all use to exfoliate your legs?

My legs feel so bumpy and rough at the moment and I think it might be due to having to switch from waxing to epilating. I’ve always found scrubs to feel a bit pointless but perhaps I’m not being consistent enough.
Does anyone have any great products they recommend?

Interesting. I didn't realise leg exfoliation was a thing. I epilate FWIW.

MrsRoyCropper · 22/05/2020 14:50

I use one of those scratchy bath mitts, like gloves. About a pound in Tesco. I use them to scrub off old tan before applying new, they’re so exfoliating and just need a bit of soap and water. Much more effective than gritty products to me, and result in lovely smooth skin!

Ohjustme · 22/05/2020 14:50

I highly recommend a Korean Italy towel. You just use it with your normal soap. It's amazing. It's best used in the bath and sloughs off all your dead skin! But I use it in the shower too.
Ebay sells them.

JessicaDay · 22/05/2020 14:50

Like both of these:
Bloomtown Rose Garden Sugar Scrub
Superdrug Vit E Oil and Sugar Body Scrub

Although a soak in the bath followed by a vigorous rub with a rough towel does the job as well as anything IME.

Mummybearsporridge · 22/05/2020 14:51

I epilate and suffer from ingrowing hairs. I use ameliorate. it's pricey but I've really noticed a difference x

BoudicasBoudoir · 22/05/2020 15:08

A Salux Japanese Beauty Skin washcloth from Amazon. Much better than any other skin buffer I’ve tried.

Thinkle · 22/05/2020 15:25

Lush Scrubee - it’s a bar so you don’t lose the scrubby granules down the drain before you’ve even started and it moisturises too. Can make the shower floor slippery though, rinse the tray well after.

QuestionableMouse · 22/05/2020 15:28

I use a big handful of granulated sugar. Dampen your legs, scrub with the sugar and wash as normal. Works brilliantly for me and it's super cheap.

Mnthrowaway20202 · 22/05/2020 15:29

I use exfoliating shower gloves daily with shower gel then occasionally use exfoliating products like lush scrubs

QueenBlueberries · 22/05/2020 15:30

Just an exfoliating glove. Does the job.

HavelockVetinari · 22/05/2020 15:31

I use those sandpaper-type mitts from Superdrug on my very dry legs, they work really well. Followed by heavy duty moisturiser.

timetest · 22/05/2020 15:32

I use a body brush.

DieSchottin93 · 22/05/2020 16:02

A mix of body brushing (daily) and an exfoliating mitt with whatever shower gel I have to hand Grin

YoureBreakingMyHeartCecilia · 22/05/2020 16:59

Exfoliating glove mitt jobbie. I hate scrubs etc.

princessTiasmum · 22/05/2020 21:46

A tip i was given is olive oil mixed with sugar, works well

GhostCurry · 22/05/2020 22:24

Thinkle body scrubs should be used before you turn the water on - but I agree with others OP, the scrubby glove is the best!

MrsPerfect12 · 22/05/2020 22:26

Gloves are the best. If really bumpy then try dry first then use wet.
Use weekly and you'll be silky smooth

CatBatCat · 23/05/2020 09:38

Pumice stone. Not as heavy handed as I would be when using it on my feet.

user1482949820 · 23/05/2020 11:05

I use those shower gloves you get in most shops (I get them in Poundland) every day when I shower. I feel that unless I use those I'm not actually clean. My skin is soft and no bumps!

FizzyPink · 24/05/2020 22:28

@Ohjustme I ordered some Korean towels from amazon yesterday and they arrived earlier so will report back after I’ve had a bath tomorrow morning

I buy a st ives face scrub from home bargains for around £2. I use it on my face and my legs. A little goes a long way and it does the job. I’ve tried the gloves in the past but didn’t like them.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 24/05/2020 22:48

Those Korean Italy cloths are the business .

Try them with a long hot soak ( 30 minutes) in plain water , then stand up in the water and buff .

I never get much off my legs but on my upper arms , back and buttocks ...it just rolls off .
I need DH to do my back but I can reach the rest .

I epilate my legs and use sugaring on my armpits . Not a fan of scrubs except the BodyShop Pink Grapefruit one .
I don;t like those epilator gloves they leave my skin itchy .

Ohjustme · 24/05/2020 22:50

I hope you like them! I wouldn't be without. I wish there were ones suitable for the face.

FizzyPink · 24/05/2020 22:50

@70isaLimitNotaTarget do you put anything on the cloth first and get it wet or just buff with it dry?

OP posts:
WellTidy · 24/05/2020 22:53

Soak the cloth well before you use it. I find that it shrinks a bit when wet so I put it on my hand (mine is a glove) and then let it soak whilst wearing it. and then I soap up the glove. I get loads of dead skin off my lower back especially!
