If you still suffer from acne...

or just regular annoying spots, look into changing your diet! I know that's not exactly original advice, but after 6 months or more of having the worst skin I've experienced the difference for myself and it's jaw dropping.

I had really bad acne as a teenager, that became ordinary 'spottiness' as an adult (despite having dry skin, don't ask how that happens!) and the last 6 months or so, actually more like a year, it's been really bad again. Huge angry itchy spots that made me feel very self conscious. Since lockdown started I've been trying to lose weight, and while I haven't changed my diet too drastically at all (I've not cut anything out) I have significantly reduced wheat, dairy and refined sugar. I don't know which of these things is responsible but my skin has cleared up to a point where I have to say it's never been so good. One thing I'm pretty sure of is that it's not just drinking more water as I've always downed that by the gallon. It's possible the improvement is linked to being out in the sunshine of course, but I'm 99.9% certain it's largely the changes to my diet. As I say I know this isn't exactly a huge revelation, but if your skin is making you miserable and you're willing to try anything, it's totally worth it. It does take time - mine's been gradually improving over the last 10 weeks rather than being a sudden overnight change, but if you're patient enough to stick at it you've nothing to lose.
