Is Elastersizer the best hair treatment?

I’ve just run out of this and I have a little olaplex left.

So I need to order a new hair treatment as I want to get into the habit of doing this regularly.

My hair is mid length with half a head highlighted (now with 2inch roots :) ) the ends are a little dry.

What treatments are you lovely ladies loving?

Are any of these good for combating frizz? I had a keratin treatment last year and was ready for another but then lockdown happened.

This one is my favourite. I mentioned it before, there’s also a version for thick hair

It just leaves my hair soft, healthy and shiny, which is amazing considering it is heavily bleached. Even my hair dresser comments on how nice the condition of my hair is since using it.

I have fine, non coloured hair and I do really like the PK elasticiser. I don't use it too often but it works really well. Haven't tried the superdrug one but I will consider that. I also like the charcoal deep conditioners which work well for my hair, but are less likely to suit thicker, drier hair.

I've tried Elasticizer, good but expensive and plenty of other hair treatments work just as well.

I've recenctly use Pureplex from superdrug an olaplex dupe, got in on offer and you can get two treatments out of it, good if you've hair dying during lockdown!

other than that I find leaving a conditioning mask on for an hour or using virgin coconut oil as a pre shampoo treatment left on for an hour then washing out with 3 shampoo's and regular conditioner really effective and that is my favourite thing to when my hair is really parched, leaves hair so soft.

Beauty Pie do an elasticiser type treatment which is great value for money.

Best hair treatment I’ve ever bought was.....a satin hair wrap for sleeping in. Admittedly it’s not sexy, but what a difference! No tangles or crazy kinks (in my hair, lololol) when I wake up

So can you use olapex no. 3 without the rest?

KensalGreen · 22/05/2020 23:08

I’ve got super thick hair and I’ve spent so much time and money trying to make it look good!

I liked Elasticiser the first time I used it but I don’t notice much difference now. I’ve found it’s better to just use good quality, moisturising products every time I wash my hair - I use Kerastase Discipline shampoo, Redken All Soft conditioner and a Kerastase serum on my ends and it works well. The L’Oreal Extraordinary oil is also very good for ends!

From a more aesthetic standpoint the Colour Wow spray makes my hair soft, manageable and shiny but if I could have one expensive hair thing it’d be the Kerastase shampoo!

Yes just apply it to damp hair and leave for as long as you can then wash out. It makes a difference to the texture of your hair. I sleep in it if I can or apply it first thing in the morning and wash it out in the evening.
