Which (ash brown) hair dye washes out quickest?

DD has dip dyed her hair (bleached then semi perm colour) but now looks like she'll be back at school soon...

I don't want to cut the bleached ends off as it would be nice to keep them for summer, but need to cover up the colour.

Can anyone recommend a hair dye brand that washes out very quickly? Ideally a cool/ash brown that doesn't leave any red or yellow behind, but even a brand recommendation would help.

What colour are the ends now, blonde? If you use an ash tone you risk them going green as a lot of ash colours have blue/green undertones.

You only need a depositing colour like directions/manic panic type etc as the hair is pre-lightened so you don't need the extra damage from a developer.

Good point about the green! I guess I'm asking for any colour that will wash out as much as possible with little/no deposit

The ends are a variety of colours now, though they will have washed out a fair amount in a week or so I guess, so back to nearly blonde.

Doesn't have to end up a perfect brunette, just respectable for school.

If it's just the ends could you hide them th in a bun if hair long enough?

Why do you need it to wash out so quickly? Don't you need it to stay in for school? Or do you mean she will want it to wash out again for the holidays?

A deposit only colour is the lowest level of commitment and least damaging you can get apart from I suppose literally spray on colour, but that might rub off/run especially in the heat. However even deposit only colour can be unpredictable and more difficult to wash out than expected. I know people have particular trouble washing out green and blue tones. Also if it's all different colours at the moment it prob won't colour evenly but could be passable for school.

Can't do bun sadly - hair not long enough.

School would only be a few weeks max so want it to wash out for summer hols - happy to top up a bit after each wash but want it to come out soon after that.

A deposit only colour is what I'm looking for - but some brands seem to stick more than others (e.g. Special FX) so I'm after a brand that really does wash out quickly and leave minimum colour behind.
