Anyone used an eyebrow stamp??

HorsesDoovers · 10/05/2020 20:38

My eyebrows are so sparse, they have just thinned over the years and lack length and body. (I'm 45)
I've ruled out microblading due to cost and I'm scared it will look awful. Obviously its out of the question anyway right now.
Has anyone used an eyebrow stamp successfully? Any you could recommend? Or any bright ideas to help me look like I have decent eyebrows?
Thanks

I'm in the same boat - 53 , eyebrows gave up the fight after intensive 1980s tweezering ! (It was the fasion at the time . My brows have not forgiven me )

I was thinking about microblading myself but as you said , not an option right now ( The place I want to try is £350 so I need to really think about it)

Meantime@ I'm using Revitabrow ( from the Revitalash brand) . I used it a few years ago and was impressed but you need to keep at it once you have the result , even on a lower application to keep the new hairs growing in.

Castor oil is supposed to work but I haven;t tried it seriously . Did a bit but I was worried about it getting in my eyes .

Dug out an old brow pen (E.L.F.) and drew them in. My DD commented "Mum you've still got your eyebrows" 24 hours later Grin

So at the moment - Brow Serum at night , eye pen by day .

Possible micro blading with strict instructions of No Scouse Brow

@70isaLimitNotaTarget thanks for your reply and good to know I'm not alone! I pencil mine in but honestly, they are just too short and thin so I'm mostly pencilling on my skin, which doesn't look right or stay put. I will definitely have a look at revitabrow, I'll try anything!

@HorsesDoovers and @70isaLimitNotaTarget I over-plucked my brows when I was younger so had them microbladed about 18 months ago. The lady who did them has a brilliant reputation but I was really disappointed - I felt they looked too strong and fake. They faded quite a bit within a year and now they're basically all gone thankfully; I wouldn't have it done again! I can always tell when others have had their brows microbladed and I think it generally only looks good if you have make-up on, otherwise it's a bit much.

I've tried countless products to get my brows to grow (including Latisse and Rapid Brow - both not great as, though they work, you have to keep using them to maintain results but nothing beats using Regaine Extra Strength Scalp Solution (comes as a liquid in a little bottle - I think the foam would be a nightmare to use on the face!). I got the idea from reading these posts and seeing her incredible before and after photos!

I've now been applying Regaine (which has the active wonder ingredient Minoxidil) on my eyebrows every evening with a little brush for the past 4/5 months. I've seen really good growth and my eyebrows look a lot better - I no longer need to use brow pencil! I dye them myself using Refectocil tint and hold them in place using brow soap as this holds a lot better than brow gel. The great thing is, once the brow hairs have grown back, they stay there unless you pluck them out so you don't have to use the Regaine forever!

I also use castor oil to moisturise my brows in the morning but I haven't found it's made any real difference to their grow in addition to the Regaine.

@HorsesDoovers yes that's the one! I got mine on eBay much cheaper (about £15), I was a bit wary it could be fake but it's worked brilliantly.

You do have to be patient, it was at least 4 months before I had really noticeable results and this is what people on Reddit were saying to so persevere, it's worth it. Good luck Smile

@empireants perfect I'm going to order some! I don't mind how long it takes if it works! It will be amazing to get some regrowth and will look so much better than a stampGrin
