13 yo wants to use The Ordinary Peeling Solution

My 13 yo wants to use The Ordinary Peeling solution to treat her zits, which are on her forehead only and not that bad: plentiful but small. I think it's too strong. All the threads are about adult usage. Anyone got experience of teens using? Or a good alternative? Thank you!

So many teens use it because of tiktok.

If she does use it’s then Ignore the packaging which says 10 minutes. Put it in for 3 minutes max the first time. Get her a sunscreen which she has to wear everyday if she’s out at all. Makes your skin more likely to sunburn.

But the peeling solution is better for skin texture and acne scars.

If she has active pimples then a salicylic acid toner is much better and the freederm spot gel.

This every few nights before bed would be much better than the peeling solution for pimples.

And this spot gel

I agree with the others, the peeling solution won’t actually help her spots it’s for scars! for acne she’d be better to use their salicylic and nicamide solution! tbh though I can’t find it in stock anywhere as I’ve run out so unless she already has it it shouldn’t be too much of an issue. If she has scars but little active acne then it would be okay though! Hope this helps

I think La Roche Possay effaclar duo would work much better for active acne (I have personal experience).

Get her TO's Niacinamide solution and the Salicylic Acid Masque - those will be much more effective.

Take her to the gp for a topical treatment.

The beauty industries hijacked spots as a cosmetic issue. There’s NICE guidelines on acne though, there’s no guidelines on wrinkles though.
