Fine hair accessories

So, I'm able to put my hair in a ponytail now but would like something to wrap around it and possibly put it in a small bun.

I don't have loads of hair plus it's very fine and slippery.

Is there anything suitable out there for my type of hair? Ideally not aimed at the under 5s.

I have fine hair & use scrunchies from Primark as they stop the hair getting damaged

Are the scrunchies small? Standard ones are too big for my locks.

I have fine, slippery hair. The ties and scrunchies from here are nice, don't damage my hair but are enough to hold it without using elastic bands underneath: byeloiselondon.com/shop/

Buns I find can be a bit unsatisfying with fine hair. I twist and wrap my hair into a rough 'bun-ish' shape then put one of these over it, which gives a neater effect: ebuni.com/the-romaine-hair-bun-holder-and-pin.html

Also for using with a bun, look for 'Octopus' clips.

Thank you Shambolic, byEloise looks lovely.

Invisibobbles work really well for fine hair. It also makes a ponytail look thicker in diameter as it doesn't compact the hair to hold it. They don't pull on fine hair at all and you can get matching hair colours (brown, black etc) or novelty metallic ones.

For buns, get the smallest bun ring you can in the closest matching shade to your hair (usually bun rings come in black, brown and blonde). I thread the end of the ponytail through the bun ring then, securing the ends of the ponytail against the bun ring, roll the bun ring up the length of the ponytail by turning the bun ring inside out several times until it reaches the base of the ponytail. I then spread the wrapped hair out around the bun ring and secure with grips. (I believe "sock buns" are done like this). This works better for fine hair with less hair to wrap around than the other way of doing it (which is to push the bun ring right to the base of the ponytail, fan the ponytail over the bun ring then secure with a second hairband and tucking the edges in afterwards). You need quite a lot of hair to cover the bun ring that way, but you can get away with a finer ponytail if you roll it up starting from the ends and "messily" spread the hair out afterwards.

If you look up "sock buns" online it shows you how to do buns with socks, but this is the method I also use with bun rings.

More ideas, than you.
