Workwear help? I can't wear dresses but need to look smart

I'm about to start a new job in MH. I'll be quite senior but need clothes I can move quickly in, so no dresses etc. Any ideas? I can't get my head beyond breton tops.

No clue where to shop, either. I need a whole new wardrobe.

I would go for some simple black trousers, like these, with a blouse and blazer (try TU or M&S for these) x

Why can’t you move quickly in dresses? Surely you can move quickly in any clothing that’s not constricting and any footwear that you can run in?

Go to M&S, Get a couple of grey tailored trousers and a couple of black ones. Then add shirts and blouses as needed.

Zara is quite good for smart jackets that don't look too fussy.

Teacher here, former EBD teacher too so I know I think what you mean.
I found trousers and brogues good. Hamble Oaks were grippy enough for a sprint and chunky enough for protection but smart enough to go into a meeting following an incident. M&S Autograph tapered ones and a smart t shirt worked. The t could be crepe on the front (smart) stretchy t on the back so if it’s pulled it stretches not rips.
Also tunics and footless tights/tights and boots went fine.

M&S trousers I mean.
And no beads. Ever. (Learned my lesson with that!)

Stretchy wide leg trousers - tu at Sainsbury's often has them in. Plus a jersey blazer (I've had them from new look).
