Hair - will this work?

I have very thick frizzy hair. At the moment I wash it probably twice a week, rough dry it and then use hair straighteners.

I really want to use lockdown to go cold turkey from the straighteners.

I was planning to use a cleansing conditioner only once a week and then use shampoo and conditioner once a week.

My hair can be wavy in places if I let it dry naturally but the front dries straight. It looks so dry and frizzy.

Otherwise is there another way of air drying without it turning into a frizz ball?

I've been using the hair dryer but not the straighteners most of the time. My hair looks fine for going up in a bun or pony tail and feels in much better condition for the break. I use a heat protection spray before drying. Also a little hair oil is good for frizz and helping the condition.

Maybe don't rough dry It?

Trouble is if I don't rough dry it, it takes literally all day to dry.

I washed my hair at 8:00 this morning, it is now 5:00 in the afternoon and it still isn't dry.
I suppose that's fine if I am not planning to go anywhere or see anyone.

Wash hair- brush- serum the ends- two plaits - blow dry the plaits- leave for an hour or two- take out hair bands. Lovely non-fizzy waves ! Then the next few days add more serum.

It's probably curly .. get some curl cream and diffuse it .
