Anyone tried a bralette?

I am fed up with uncomfortable bras and tempted to change to bralettes (if I spelt that right??). Anyone tried them? If you have would you recommend swapping to them or not?

Could anyone help me with sizing of bralettes please? I’m a 32D/32DD and normally wear an 8 in clothing. However, with bikini tops I get a 10. If anyone’s a similar size and has bought M&S bralettes or the Sainsbury’s TU bralettes, would you advise an 8 or a 10? Want enough support but also don’t want to have the squashed/monoboob look!

Another 34B here - I'll have a look at that measure site, but a DD would swamp me :o

On the look out for comfortable bralettes, but don't want a racer back. Stiff shoulders and they're a pain to put on/off. I have ordered some non-wired bras from Sloggi to try though - I've got a couple which are really comfortable and a nice compromise between bra and bralette. A bit padded (nipples are fine but I don't like them on display at work - male dominated environment), but no underwire to be uncomfy.

Sainsbury’s do a half way house type which looks bra like but so comfortable. Various types.

@dgirluk there’s no such thing as “a DD” - the cup size changes in proportion to the band size so a 28DD is the same cup as a 34C - not huge at all.

@michaelbaubles I know :). A 34 DD was what was in my head - which compared to my fried eggs would be much nicer :)
