Teeth whitening kits

Has anyone tried these?

I was just about to start a treatment with my dentist when lockdown happened. I can't stand my teeth anymore so I started looking at other of the shelf kits. I've found the Snow teeth whitening kit (£150) and also the much cheaper Dr Dent kit (£30)

Has anyone tried any of these two or any other option?
My teeth are not just slightly yellowish, so I need something that really works.

I want a middle ground- something to remove the staining but I don’t want to look like I’ve just eaten a snowman either...

Dont do it. Home kits can very risky

My dentist friend has advised me against these in the past.

If you have sensitive teeth then don’t go near them!

Does anyone know what exactly is the difference between these and what my dentist was happy for me to do (custom made moulds + gel for £300)?!
I've been trying to get in touch with him at least for some over the phone advice with no luck yet...

I use crest whitening strips but recently started using Pearl Drops Instant Boost which has helped massively with tea/coffee stains.

I have used whitening gel/moulds but was bit hit and miss tbh. The one lot of gel I bought started burning within minutes and bleached my gums ☹️

The ones your dentists make will work without damaging your teeth and gums.

Please don’t risk your teeth, they can’t heal like skin or bone can.

A few years ago, there were loads of excellent products on the market but it is now illegal to buy any product that is strong enough to work without a licence. I've used teeth whitening home kits on and off for 15 years without any problems at all - in fact, they've been great. I had some professionally fitted trays made eons ago which still work well. Dentists do not want you buying refill syringes for under £10 from the internet when they can sell them at hugely inflated prices. Since the government has made it nearly impossible to buy whitening gel from reputable companies, the gap in the market has been filled by fraudsters. If anyone out there knows of a legitimate company selling products that work, I'd be grateful.
