As title really Smile

The thinner the better!
Have seen some 0.2 and 0.5 tog but reviews don't really go into how light they are.

Pref UK based for p&p costs.

Just got two lovely 0.5 togs from Amazon Prime. The brand is Lictin. Very good value

MrsP2015 · 15/04/2020 06:48

Thank you- I looked at these but a review said they aren't that thin, how thin are they?

0.5 tog in my experience is just like a cotton sheet sort of thickness (or thin-ness Grin)
I used gro bag one at the time as couldn’t find any other brand but that was a few years ago now, much more available now

Adenandanais do lovely 100 cotton muslin sleeping bags. They are 1 tog which is plenty cool enough in this country I think, in the height of summer with just a nappy underneath.

Pascha · 15/04/2020 07:04

Mind you, how old is your toddler? Approaching 2 and over they tend to want to be standing and a bag can be more hassle than it's worth after a while. One of mine was fine til nearly 3 but the other was a bloody liability tripping over his feet by 14 months old...

randomsabreuse · 15/04/2020 07:08

0.5 is like a muslin. Sometimes DD was in that and a nappy overnight as she ran hot - bag prevented nappy removal and climbing!

MrsP2015 · 15/04/2020 16:46

Like ransoms said part of this is to prevent a climbing idea!

The thinner the better as I can layer underneath if needed.

Thank you all.

I got 0.5 tog from Sainsburys. They do click & collect on clothing usually. DS is nearly 2. They are a bit thicker than a sheet but not much. He runs hot so has been in this tog for a few weeks.

Slumbersac have lovely muslin ones

MrsP2015 · 25/04/2020 21:08

Wow I didn't even think supermarkets would go that big, I'll have a look thank you.

@OhWifey have you got a Slumbersac one? I've seen they do 0.2 and 0.5 tog and not sure if they are VERY thin?

I don't really want to have to mess about sending them back at the moment!

You do realise that the thickness or the sleeping bag does not directly correlate to the tog rating?

MrsP2015 · 25/04/2020 22:49

@Pentium85 I'm not sure, probably not.

I've always used the gro company as my thinking was using different togs from 1 make means a true/ accurate warmer/ cooler difference... I remember feeling different makes in a shop once and they were all the same tog but different thicknesses! So just stuck with 1 brand.
However the 18-36 is not going to be long enough to last the summer looking at the current ones we have.

In the past when hot she's just worn a vest or nappy but the sleeping bag is now very much part of the routine! Plus it stops any climbing ideas.

As thin as a hanky would be perfect 👌

@MrsP2015 I'm not sure what tog i had as they are packed away. But I got the muslin ones which were exactly the same as a muslin cloth

MrsP2015 · 26/04/2020 09:58

@OhWifey thank you so much 😊
