KP after Roaccutane...advice

Evening,

I finished a 5 month course of roaccutane about 6 weeks ago and since then I’ve developed KP on my arms (at least that’s what I think it is) and possibly a little on my lower cheeks. Has anyone experienced this problem before? I’ve no idea how to treat it- particularly on my face. I feel like I’ve just exchanged one problem for another 🙈

Your skins still sensitive from the roaccutane, leave the cheeks to get better on their own as your skin settles.

I think urea cream is meant to work on arms. Are you wearing a good layer of sunblock?. Ideally you need to stay out of the sun for a while.

Can you buy urea cream over the counter? I haven’t been wearing sun cream but I haven’t been out too much with the lockdown and living in the North East.

So you the ones on my face will just settle without treatment?

Thanks for taking the time to reply xx

They should do, it’s an odd time just after you come off it. The oil gradually comes back but not as bad, you notice you have to wash your hair more than once a week.

Urea is in calmurid or flexitol for heels. You must have a bath or shower for 10 mins before applying it. If you put it on dry skin you don’t get good results.

Thank you so much- I’ll look that up. I suspect that’s what has caused some of the problem- the oil coming back but skin still very dry and cells not turning over like they were on the medication😩

Ameliorate body lotion is great for KP, or Facetheory's Glycomide body cream.

Thanks@Shmithecat2 - I’ve never heard of that but I’ll have a look. I hope this is temporary 🙈
