I’m hoping somebody can help?

My skin is clear, but it’s really dry and just looks really flat and dull. My skin is also quite sensitive. Can you recommend any moisturiser or any other skincare products that might help?

Also my hair is really dry suddenly. It’s quite thick and is between being wavy and a bit frizzy. I don’t dye my hair, but i do straighten it- i always use heat protection products when i straighten it. Can you think of any products that would stop it being so dry?

Try the Beauty Kitchen products (order online or limited selection in Holland and Barrett).
Tried by an impulse buy when buying something else and haven’t looked back and skin has never been better! Love the radient moisturiser, night moisturiser and facial oil! All sustainable packaging too! Oooo and the night mask is fantastic!

My skin became dry and dehydrated this winter, So I decided to make some changes. I use The Ordinary hyaluronic acid and pat it on to slightly damp skin, then I apply my Maracuja oil by Tarte and pat it on. After I put on my moisturiser by Liz Earle and leave everything on overnight. My skin is bright and not tight or dry. I do this every night. No breakouts and my skin feels fresh.
Just a word of caution though, as Maracuja oil has a high dose of vitamin C I would recommend applying SPF every morning

I use Elemis skin care which is lovely and have started using Philip Kingsley elasticizer and my hair is the best it’s ever felt!

Philip Kingsley elasticiser, argan oil or morrocan oil for hair. I wouldn't straighten hair out more then once per week. Also try black seed oil for hair, mixed with other oils such as coconut, olive oil, almond oil etc. Leave overnight if possible.

Your skin sounds similar to mine.

The trick is to put something moisturising straight out of the shower. Don’t pat your skin dry with a towel. So I either spray on an Korean skincare hydrating essence type thing or I use something a dermatologist blogger recommended which is Superdrug leave on water mask. It’s like £4. I plonk it on straight after getting out of the shower. I might use another moisturiser/bb cream on top after when I am taking my time more.

Also as you should always wear spf but As you have sensitive skin look for spfs that are mineral only so you are putting less chemicals on your skin. I like Clinique cityblock spf 25. It’s sensitive enough to use around the eyes. It isn’t billed as a moisturiser but it is one and it isn’t irritating. But you can add a basic cheap moisturiser before it if you prefer a more heavy duty moisturiser then add this on top.

These are two products I keep returning to. The straight out of the shower trick is game changing though.

Body shop chamomile cleansing oil is great. Not thought about embracing your natural wave?

Also for the dullness. Consider dipping your toe into the world of acids. Glycolic or salycilic ones are worth trying. Start small. Don’t do to regularly. Like maybe once a week. I like liquid gold at the mo but their are loads out there that are popular so just google. I think pixi glow tonic is popular. Really start slow though due to your sensitive skin.

I'm using Zoe Bee face creams at the moment, and I heartily love them. My skin isn't especially dry, but this is just gorgeous. The walnut and coffee cream really helps my redness from rosacea and I feel quite glowy!

I also use this niacinimide and zinc stuff which is really mild, but strong enough to keep my (enormous) pores clear. It doesn't dry out my skin or leave me feeling tight, and the most important thing, it doesn't irritate my skin before doing good.

The hair I can't help with as I'm very curly - although I do struggle massively with dry hair, I don't think my products will work for you.

Skincare - CeraVe and dr Sam Bunting. Brilliant stuff from them

Rosehip oil for both.

Dear Kaisawheel

Your skin sounds exactly like mine. I dont have any problems really but sometimes it would be dry.. I now have a skin care routine with Tropic skincare - i use a cleanser, vitamin toner and cream twice daily and a hydrating mask once a week and its amazing. If you're still searching for something i can help Smile
