Skin reacts to sun - would vit e help?

I forgot to use some sunscreen as my face cream usually has enough spf. Unfortunately my current one is only spf15, so it wasn't enough. I now have raised itchy bumps on my face and the back of my hands, and wondered if vit e oil would help. My skin feels so tight despite moisturising several times a day. I've tried e45, Epaderm ointment, various body lotions, and it's still not easing.
If not vit e, any other suggestions.

I don't know about the tightness but antihistamine should help with the itch. Have you got any Aveeno or cetaphil? I get itchy mild exzema patches sometimes and they help.

I take an antihistamine daily, or nearly daily due to hay fever, so it does help. I know this will go soon, it usually takes a few weeks, but after reading about vit e on here I wondered if that would help heal things quicker.
I've bought some aveeno body lotion today so will see if that helps my hands.

Obviously buy a high spf sunscreen

Ask your gp to prescribe dermol to wash/hydrate the areas, or eumovate

I do usually use a high spf min of 30 and have a 50 spf one too, with at least 5 stars so it covers the full range, I've just been caught out with the recent sunshine with the wind while on dog walks etc. I just don't want to bother my already busy gp with something like this that will pass soon.

I know aloe helps

Doublebase gel shifts it for me. The doctor prescribed it the first time, when I was pregnant, and I've bought it over the counter since.

I have this reaction to sun exposure, and what works for me is Aloe Vera Gel. None of the creams work on me, it has to be the gel.
