Have you gone from a young being young in your 40's to being old in your 40's

I'll be 46 this year and feel like that lots to do and plenty of time to do it feeling is dwindling, the questions are starting to have more meaning, importance and integrity. Feeling like perhaps there was more to what I thought I wanted and needed in life.
Have you ever experienced a transitional experience (apart from the obvious we're all going through right now)

No im 43 & still feel young although really sleepy a lot due to epilepsy meds (but that's nothing new).
I think my attitude is because I do have some 60-70 yr old colleagues who treat me like I'm really young, also my patients on the whole are quite elderly!
And my colleagues in their 20s treat me like an equal.

43 was like I was in my early 30's in both attitude and looks. 47/8 started to feel the same as you OP
Now, at 49, I feel old and am starting to look it.

At 40 I felt and looked pretty young. In the last 5 years I’ve experienced 2 very traumatic bereavements and redundancy and had several serious bouts of depression. I’ve put on weight and am really starting to look my age. I’m do dress nicely but am now trying to lose weight.

This is something that's really hit me in the last year, I'm coming up for 48.
I used to be so 'young', but recently I've noticed people are treating me very differently - perhaps the way I act induces this? I'm not sure. Maybe I'm giving off vibes?
I've lost some if the 'fun' I used to feel, and definitely lots if the energy, but I have made an effort to lose weight recently and started to inject more fun and an edge back into my clothes. I figure that I care less what others think now... that can only be a good thing!

Definitely happened to me when I hit my 40s. When I was just 40, everything was fine and I still looked the same as in my 30s, more or less. By the time I was 49, I had aged considerably in my appearance and I also had that thing @HappyKatieA that people, especially younger people, starting treating me differently, kind of backing off a bit. It was really disconcerting and things never really got back to the way they used to be, after that.
