I have an interview tomorrow!

I have an interview for a supermarket tomorrow, and I'm not sure what to wear.
DH is bemoaning that the only suit I have is from the 1940s. I don't think a suit is right to wear to an interview for this job anyway, it's shelf stacking, and temporary.
I'm thinking smart trousers, a patterned shirt and a smart cardigan or jumper on the top and chelsea boots, or heels?
I own a whole drawer full of jeans, not so much on the smart clothes front.
I do have a blazer but I don't think I have anything that goes with it, I used to wear it with jeans and a sparkly top on nights out.
The only dresses I have are from the 80s, evening or tie dyed.
Nicely ironed, well fitting, smart ish clothes will be OK surely?

I went for a successful interview at Tesco as a student- I wore a pencil skirt, black knee high boots, smart top, and my hair in a bun.

Wow, I would keep it simple in this climate, don't over think it. If you want you can say that you chose not to go shopping. Surprised that the interview is going a head.

Clean shoes and clean tidy hair. Generally look well presented. Good luck.

OP I wouldnt worry as long as you're clean and presentable. I live with a retail manager, they have been told to take pretty much anyone they can get, they are overwrought.

All sounds fine. Chelsea boots would make me think you'd be better at being hands on and efficient, rather than heels.

Years ago my mum and I both had interviews for PT jobs in the same supermarket. Mum wore what she would have worn to an interview for her previous FT role as an accountant including carrying a smart briefcase with her cv in it. I wore pretty much what the OP is suggesting, clean and ironed but low key. Mum was actually much more smartly dressed than the interviewer - she didn’t get the job! I did.

I think sometimes being too smartly dressed for entry level jobs gives the impression you don’t know what the role entails.
