I have been a member for a couple of years, and will keep going, so yes, I think it's good. It works as a way of trying new products I wouldn't spend ££ on.

There are a few products I buy on repeat, and the number is growing as their ranges extend. I like everything in the Japan Fusion range, and use this as my basic skincare range. The serums are good, but possibly less differentiated than they would suggest; I've tried most and find them interchangeable for all the difference they make to my (basically good, old and not over-sensitive) skin.

A hero product is the One Powder Wonder. It is often mentioned in Beauty editor picks too, so I guess I am not alone. The brushes are good. The hair and body care ranges are more than decent, but I would be reluctant to praise the make up too much. Everything I've bought has been fine, but little has been transformational. The lip liner is very good though; I have the Rummy Pink in all my bags and pockets. I hope this helps.

I've been a member for about six months now and have found enough products that I love to make it worthwhile long term. Things I rate for my (41yo, sensitive) skin are the brilliant oil balm cleanser, the ceramide capsules, serum foundation and excellent loose and pressed powders. I've been more impressed with skincare and body stuff than makeup generally - - tho that's a bit because you're guessing at colours online. I really didn't like the haircare.
Beauty Pie scented candles are also really very good.

Minimonkeysmum · 15/03/2020 22:59

I like it, and think it's worth the price. The skin products are great - I love the super healthy skin range, the oxygen mask and the face scrub.

Make up is also good, but hard to work out colours online.

yorkshireteasmaid · 16/03/2020 16:21

Is there a beauty pie thread will must try recommendations?

SirVixofVixHall · 16/03/2020 16:35

I stopped for a while but might go back. I agree the skincare is better than the makeup. I haven’t been all that impressed with the makeup, although the little stick concealer is good, the fatter eye pencils are hard and not well pigmented. I have a narrow grey pencil that is ok, but hard. Glossier eye pencils are much nicer.
I didn’t like the little ceramide things either, felt full of silicones.
I loved the fat pot of apricot scented cleansing balm. I have reacted to one product, a night time oil. I have very pale, sensitive skin. So I would buy skincare again, but be choosy with the makeup. The shimmery powder I had crumbled really quickly so was a total waste of money.
It is easy to get carried away because it seems so cheap, but it is more expensive than it seems when you add it all up, the fees, postage etc.

cookiemonster5 · 16/03/2020 16:36

I use the clay mask which is really good. I have the powder but not used it enough to comment but the eyeliner pen is amazing.

SirVixofVixHall · 16/03/2020 16:41

Oh yes the masks, they are excellent .

Howzaboutye · 16/03/2020 21:32

The grey eyeliner pen is good, it actually doesn't smudge. And usually all other eye pencils do on me.

Shampoo and conditioner are super good.

Super retinol is lovely.

It's worth a go.

The subscription thing is really odd though. Postage is cheap.
Pink packaging is nice, if a bit dippy

Retailqueenie · 17/03/2020 11:15

I've been a member since xmas and I am totally hooked. The quality of the products is amazing for the price you pay. Just ventured into their foundation and I love it, really great coverage but light. I use their spf20 tinted moisturiser underneath and the concealer - my skin looks brighter and fresher than when using my MAC.

I've also got the matte lipsticks, lip liner, nail polish, eye shadow pencils, strobe highlighter, Jeju cleanser. I am about to get the new hair products to try.

So i've used a good cross section from the range and i'm very happy with everything.

If you use my recommend a friend link you get 1 month free.. (& to be transparent, I get a boost)
HERE

There's also another thread I think as the previous poster said, so have a good read first! Happy to advise you on anything i've tried..

DameXanaduBramble · 17/03/2020 12:07

I think the whole idea is very strange. I was so tempted, then worked out that with the monthly fee, loads of out of stocks, the post and packing fees, it just wasn’t worth it for me. I do love my make up but I’d rather buy a couple of high end items a month than be beholden to one brand.

DameXanaduBramble · 17/03/2020 12:08

And the allowance thing is one of the main things I hated.

DameXanaduBramble · 17/03/2020 12:09

I know they’re super into promoting this and this thread just looks like one of those. [hmmm]

Retailqueenie · 17/03/2020 14:05

Well, I’m a bona fida customer with just a positive experience! I pay £5 a month and spend about £20 in total pm, inc postage, & for that I get 2/3 products which would cost me way more at RRP...

Just my opinion tho....

BumbleNova · 17/03/2020 15:50

Yup me too. I really rate the skincare. I love it the japanfusion range.

yorkshireteasmaid · 17/03/2020 23:02

I only just started so looking for stuff to try. More interested in skin care as I've just turned 50

cheesycrisps · 18/03/2020 06:24

Sounds like the skin care is good and searching for other convos so are the eye crayons.

@Retailqueenie how long is your link valid for, would it still work ina month?

OP posts:
Retailqueenie · 18/03/2020 10:52

I think so, it’s a generic link I can give out... but loads of people have them so if mines run out someone will post you one here I'm sure!
