Fine, dry and frizz prone hair: holy grail Shampoo and conditioner

Just that. What do you rate?

I see no difference not using conditioner. I also dont notice any remarkable change when using paraben or sulphate free product.

Last purchase was the shea range - was nice enough but not game changer in any way.

I have fine hair and now condition it first then shampoo. No spray, ‘thickeners’ or anything. All they do is weigh the hair down. Less is more!

BloggersNetwork · 15/03/2020 09:51

I agree with conditioning first.
Milk_Shake whipping cream is pretty unbelievable too.

I have this hair type and I don’t find that any particular shampoos or conditioners make any difference. The only thing I do think that makes a difference is Swell serum. I got it in an m and s beauty box and it sat on the shelf for maybe a year. Now I use it every time I’ve washes my hair. My hair is so much thicker. You don’t need much at all so it lasts ages, even a miniature.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer a couple of times a week

What's the reasoning behind conditioning first @FizzAfterSix and @BloggersNetwork? Did you notice an immediate change in your hair. X

I have fine hair that frizzes in the damp and have found Colour Wow Dream Coat to be amazing at stopping the frizz, you do have to use heat to dry/style your hair with it, but I use Plantur39 shampoo and conditioner as I have thinning hair but it has stopped from using it.

kmini · 17/03/2020 20:18

Yes I love the colour wow too, but you need to put in the time with heat and resistance to get the benefit. My revlon 2 in 1 styler has been a revelation when combined with colour wow - so much less frizz overall and volume for the 1st time in my life! Just want to get the shampoo and condition part right now.

Kerastase is amazing. My hair is just like yours and I have tried everything out there, spent a fortune to find one that works, Its the discipline range that works for frizz and dry hair. I use it and when I do blowdry my hair use the style cream in the same range. Pricey but so worth it.

SeaRabbit · 19/03/2020 01:44

Which Kerastase do you fund works? I tried the orange and the dark green and neither was helpful.

The only thing I have found works is the Virtue range I used the shampoo and then the conditioner every day and the deep conditioning once a week. My hair was breaking really easily, and now it's thicker and less brittle. Expensive but it's very rich, so lasts well.

I'm still using the products from this sampler that I bought last December:

The thing I've found most helpful in my hair is Milkshake Whipped Cream Mousse leave in conditioner. I use just normal shampoo and conditioner then leave this in. Means I can brush my hair after washing and it leaves it looking much better and less breakages

The orange top doesnt work for me either but I love the pinky one, the discipline range.
