Fresh sherbety perfume?

Marsis · 14/03/2020 00:27

I was waiting at the doctors a couple of days ago and somebody walked past who was wearing an amazing smelling perfume and ‘sherbety’ is the best way I can think of it fresh, quite sweet and fruity but not floral. Can anybody recommend anything similar, bonus points if perfume parlour do a dupe Smile?

Most of the Nina Ricci perfumes have a sherberty quality to them

Smithesque · 14/03/2020 14:39

Clarins Eau Dynamisante

My DD wears it and I always think it smells fizzy (and lovely)

TheBitterBoy · 14/03/2020 17:02

Maybe one of the Daisy variants? Daisy oh so fresh is much less floral than Daisy original

TheBitterBoy · 14/03/2020 17:05

Or how about Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue

AwkwardSquad · 14/03/2020 17:06

Origins have a really zingy ginger perfume, you could try that

Marsis · 14/03/2020 17:34

It definitely wasn’t Daisy or a variety of it. I think I’m one of the few people who really dislike the smell of it.

L’Occitane Verbena?

Spied · 14/03/2020 17:38

I'm definitely going to bet in Paco Rabanne UltravioletWink

Pop by Stella McCartney?

Not Clarins Eau Dynasmisante.
I really don't want to be impolite and am genuinely very pleased that your daughter likes it, Smithesque but to quite a large number of people it is anything but light or sherberty. It's wierdly sickly and cloying - instant headache. This is not just my opinion; it has been discussed in the past on these boards and several Mumsnetters have said the same.

Each to their own, of course. Many people do like the scent - while it makes some others want to leave the room!

Candy by Prada. it’s lovely.

L’Occitane Verbena
Ô de Lancôme
Polo Sport Woman ( though more grapefruity than Lemon)

Marsis · 14/03/2020 18:46

thank you for the suggestions looking forward to trying to solve the mystery once I can break free of DDs self isolation. Might try a couple of PP dupes in the mean time, are there any other dupe websites there are few that sound good but not on PP.

Would definitely suggest L'Occitane Verveine. My DH calls it sherbet lemon Hmmhe's not a fan

Mashingthecompost · 26/09/2020 17:51

Did you figure it out, OP?

Marsis · 26/09/2020 18:11

the closest I have come is Soap and Glory Original Pink Blush don’t think it’s ‘the one’ though

AnSionnachGlic · 26/09/2020 18:14

I wear JoMalone Pear and Freisha, and it is quite fruity and fresh smelling.

BanjoStarz · 26/09/2020 18:28

I love soap and glory original pink.

I don’t know if it in perfume form though.

GlassOfPimms · 26/09/2020 20:11

How intriguing - I wonder what it was?! I wear Molton Brown Vetiver & Grapefruit which smells just like sherbet lemons for the first few hours on my skin?

Beketaten · 27/09/2020 01:35

Have you tried Sugar Lemon by Fresh?
