I've really buggered up my hair.. what can I do?

Had an ombre. Didn't like the shade of my natural hair next to my face so tried to lighten it with a John Frieda spray which has promptly turned me ginger.

Tried to rectify this with a purple shampoo, which has turned my light ends a really cool blonde - look awful agains the ginger top. I don't want ombré anymore.

Am I best just to chop off all the blonde ends and then start from scratch with a head of highlights?! 😩

No go to a salon!

Either get your natural colour painted back on, or they can professionally lighten/tone your hair to blend your ginger parts into the blonde parts better

Best option is what throwaway just said or yes, go for drastic chop and start again! Purple shampoo only works on hair that's lifted light enough already but then starts to go brassy. It can't work on hair that hasn't been lifted through the orange stage.

A salon will fix that.

I like it not helpful

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but if you have used the John Frieda spray you cannot now have highlights. Your hair will simply dissolve. I speak from experience! You need to let it grow out.

You need to go see a good hairdresser for some advice. Nobody can tell from photos what condition your hair is in. Do not try to rectify this yourself without getting advice please. Good luck

Try Bleach London White toner - it will completely take the ginger/brassy tones away. Sainsbury’s and Boots sell it. It’s not going to farm your hair
