Moisturiser help

My skin is really sensitive and I've had trouble finding a moisturiser that works. Recently I've been using Origins GinZing oil free and my skin has been great with it but I don't think it is quite moisturising enough for my aging skin.

Can anyone recommend either a replacement or would a night cream boost moisture enough?

My skin care is really basic. I use liz Earle 3 step but the origins moisturiser as my skin didn't like the liz Earle. Maybe I need to add some more products? I'm a lazy sod, so unlikely to stick to anything too time consuming. Any ideas?

Do you use any serums? Hyaluronic acid is a great moisture boost. Applied to slightly damp skin and layered with moisturiser gives me good results.
Ones I have used and loves are
Superdrug me+ hyaluronic booster
Hada labo -red and white packaging
The ordinary.

Alternatively you could add in an oil over your moisturiser at night for extra hydration.

I’ve had this problem,

I cleansed, toned and moisturised but the routine just didn’t make my skin feel ‘soft’.

I’ve simply added a facial oil for during the day (Elemis Superfood) and alternate between that and Body Shop Drops of Youth Concentrate.

It’s really helped

Do you exfoliate at all? My skin has reacted pretty well to glycolic and lactic acids once or twice a week.

The nights I don't use them I really ramp up my moisturising products

Thanks for the answers so far. I have been exfoliating about once a week (which is good for me) with a scrub type exfoliatior. I've never used a serum or oil and they scare me a bit as they all seem to be used at different times and frequencies and I'm scared I'll get it wrong, but it sounds like that would help so beginners advice welcome!

I'd probably try a serum first,
Superdrug pure range do a lively light hydrating one (they have a day and a night version) which gets good reviews. Just apply before moisturisers and see if it helps your skin.

I personally prefer oils at night, I do all my usual steps and apply 3-4 drops of oil in to my hands then press into my face as the last step.

Have you tried the Liz Earle superskin? My skin doesn't like the normal moisturiser they do but loves superskin. If you buy on qvc you can send it back within 30 days if you don't like it.

Thanks everyone. I bought a no. 7 serum today as I was in a small boots, so I'll give that a try. I also got a small facial oil (super skin) as a sample from liz Earle when I bought a while back and had no idea what to do with it, so I'll give that a try maybe after trying the serum for a week.
