Day dresses

That's all really. I'm looking for a couple of day dresses, maybe slightly smart looking so suitable for work without looking too dressed up.
Not too short, I know I shouldn't care but my knees could do with being covered. I'm 5ft 7, a size 10 and athletic build but with boobs and a slight mum tum.
Everything I've seen is just too flimsy, or too dressy.
To give an idea, I'm a DM and trainers/converse wearer rather than heels
Would love some brightly coloured ones, and what is it with all the frilly stuff?

I find Joy quite good for dresses. A full slip underneath a dress will make it feel less flimsy.

On a higher budget Hobbs and Boden have a large selection.

I like Adini, they have done lovely fabrics, mostly Jersey so they hang well. The search function on their website is not great and some look a bit frumpy but don't be put off!
Generally available on Ebay too Smile

Popsy would fit the bill if you like that style.

Some people’s dressy is another persons casual etc so as a starting point for understanding your style and preference... what was your view of “that Zara dress” last summer?

I always like Izabel London. They have a stand in my local
Debenhams.
