I’ve just got a softer jawline than I had and I don’t like it!

I’ve thought of hifu med but apparently you need 3 courses which is a lot!

But then there are dermawands and nuface massagers and there might be something even better!

What’s the best thing to get/try? I don’t mind ageing I just don’t like have a poochy neck!

Bumping for you as I’d like something too!

Alyic · 07/03/2020 19:31

It doesn't really work if I'm honest

FraughtwithGin · 07/03/2020 19:39

Try Rene Guinot treatments. They work for me and I am 61.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 07/03/2020 19:41

Nuface works, it's not a dramatic improvement though and you have to keep doing it.

Sontagsleere · 07/03/2020 20:02

Look up Alice Hart Davis - she covers tweakments and I'm sure she has something on the neck area / chin. She has a really useful Instagram page! UK based if that helps.

MimiLaRue · 07/03/2020 20:03

Ive had Hifu- it really really works!

I'm not sure why youre put off by three treatments?- you cant correct things like that in 5 mins. The other treatments you mentioned arent instant either

Murrfect · 07/03/2020 20:21

Hifu works! I guess it was just if it didn’t it’s a lot of money I’ve been given a cost of £1750 for three treatments? Part of me just says

YES!! Do it!

And a lot says omg...

Maybe hifu then nuface to slow the jowly faceslump! ?!

I have had a Derma wand and a couple of nu faces, i didn't think they made much difference, but now not using them particularly the nu face i'n not so sure, my jowls look terrible, and thinking about a thread lift
Cant stand looking at my neck either

Murrfect · 07/03/2020 20:28

What about diet? I guess I went to a size 14 last year I’m coming down in size but on an everything in moderation diet - any triggers ?

A thread lift?! Is that good?

OP posts:
Murrfect · 07/03/2020 20:35

I’m not bothered much about lines n wrinkles - it’s if my face changes shape - like I’m not the same person in the mirror that bothers me

My daughter had a thread lift about 3 years ago, it's lasted well, and she doesn't look her age 56, but some surgeons have said it's not worth it, for how long it lasts, apparently
A lady i go to does a PDO thread lift for about £1000, which i think is worth it for 2 years, you can pay more than that for fillers in 2 years
There are 2 types the PDO is the simplest type with less threads
One of the ladies on 10 years younger on thursday had fillers , and her jowls were nowhere to be seen they were awful before
That is another option

Have any of you seen Ten years younger in ten days on channel 5?

I watched series 1 episode 2 last night. They had a lady on who had slight jowls and gave her some Botox or something between the jowl and chin which just made the chin look wider and made the jowl effectively therefore blend in and disappear! Very impressed with that. Watch it on catch up if you are curious.

I’ve had a threadlift, ultherapy and also RF facials (spread over a few years, to all at once!),

I wouldn’t recommend a threadlift. I found it very invasive and it didn’t do much.

Ultherapy combined with a series of RF facials was eventually very effective on my neck and jowls but it took about 9 months to make any real difference. It was so gradual that I had pretty much written it off as a waste of money and then one day I glanced at myself in the mirror and was amazed. That was three years ago and it’s all starting to sag again but the cost of redoing it puts me off. It’s about £3000 at the London clinic I go to.

If you go for ultherapy, be warned. The actual process is very painful so dose up on painkillers first. There is no discomfort afterwards but I bruised very badly. The threadlift didn’t actually hurt after the procedure but I found the feel of the threads in my face very disturbing.
