Vichy Neovadiol for menopausal skin

Anyone tried this range? The serum/Phytosculpt Neck or the Neovadiol Compensating Creams in the gold pot? They’re on offer at Boots as a 3 for 2 offer at the moment.

Wondering if any one has tried because the reviews are all great but... most reviewers have been given the creams to try and then review, free of charge.

Little bump here... from one who’s nervous to “spend” on anti wrinkle creams if they’re not worth the price. Thanks

I have tried them, I’m their target age I guess - 54, I honestly didn’t notice any difference. Things that make a difference for me are active ingredients like retinol and acids, and sunscreen in the day. I use serums that contain actives and a cheapish moisturiser, Nivea at the mo.

I got given a couple of samples of the neck one in Boots. Its very nice but I haven't bought it. You could try asking for samples (or if there's no one to help, have a look in the little drawer underneath the stand).

Escentual and Look Fantastic often have good offers on for Vichy.

Ahh, thank you. Hadn’t thought of asking for a sample.

It annoys me when you read reviews and then notice that they each received a pot of cream for free in exchange for a “genuine” review.

I'm 54 too.
Haven't tried this range and am sceptical about a cream targeting menopausal skin.
Like Karmatime says, it can have a trillion ingredients in, but unless they are actives, acids, retinol in significant dosage, Vit C etc, it's just moisturiser.

Vichy Lift activ Vit C is one of my holy grails though.

Have bought into the hype on Boots 3 for 2. I need SOMETHING!

I wish they’d bring back Idealia radiance serum. Haven’t been able to find it anywhere.

TheLadyAnneNeville · 29/02/2020 12:58

@Splodgetastic, in reading the reviews before buying, I noted a number of people raving about Vichy VitC Serum, if that helps.

I used to have a nice Idealia Tinted Moisturiser in a long pink tube. Loved it but had to move to something more economical.

The Vit C is totally amazing.

HollowTalk · 29/02/2020 13:42

I love Vichy. If you use the cleanser, toner and moisturiser absolutely religiously for two or three weeks you'll see a fantastic difference.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 29/02/2020 13:47

Sorry to hijack but I've become a bit spotty since being menopausal - can anyone recommend a skincare range which might help? Willing to try anything, have always had very good skin so this is really getting to me.

BookMeOnTheSudExpress · 29/02/2020 17:52

Is it definitely spots and not rosacea bumps? Because I have always had good skin but get the odd flare up of rosacea now. La Roche Posay have a specific range I think.
If it is spots, try LRP Effaclar gel, it changed dd's skin almost overnight.

chocolatesaltyballs22 · 29/02/2020 21:17

I think it's rosacea bumps. Hate it.

ThickSock · 29/02/2020 23:38

HollowTalk which cleanser, toner and moisturiser do you use and what sort of skin have you got? I’m pushing 60 with dry/combination skin and enlarged pores in T zone. Do you reckon the combination you use are suitable for what I’ve got going on? Thanks
