Back spots - help!

I’ve always had OK skin with breakouts on my chin and back spots when younger. They have returned :( I’m guessing as until recently I had the Mirena which I’ve had removed and I think they’re caused by hormones. They are so so painful and unsightly, has anyone any great tips or products for getting rid of them or at least easing their passage?!
I have shoulder length hair but don’t use conditioner (that can inflame them) and run a lot but always shower straight after. Rarely scrub my back as I can’t reach - should I? Should I moisturise?

An acne body wash that contains Salicylic acid will really helped, I used one by Neutrogena but I don't think it's available in the UK except via Amazon.

I've been experiencing this since December. Gp has prescribed low dose long term antibiotics as well as the combined pill as its hormone driven. Its working well and no new spots (they were big and painful lumps) but myback is covered in marks/scars which i fear will take a long time to fade Sad

Progesterone based contraceptives can make skin oilier, if they hurt their pretty deep & pressing on the nerve endings. Honestly I’d see the gp, get something that works.

Definitely don’t do what I did and battle on for years with otc treatments and end up cystic. It’s no fun & you waste a lot of time.

I would definitely scrub your back when your having a shower with an anti blemish face scrub .

If you want to be able to scrub your back I would strongly recommend a salux cloth. It's a rough long flannel, so you can hold one end in each hand and easily get up and down your back. It's really helped my skin, although yours sounds quite painful and nasty, so there's a chance the rough cloth could irritate it?
I have got rid of my middle aged face acne with diluted apple cider vinegar, but I'm not sure how that would work on your back?
Good luck....

Thanks all. It doesn’t seem bad enough to warrant a GP visit - but then equally I guess it won’t go away on its own as shown by years of them. I definitely need to try scrubbing my back I think tho that’s never helped my face (but then I don’t get Huge spots on my face)

I also really struggle with hormonal contraceptives - I had the Mirena removed as I bled constantly for 18mths. Had great skin tho! So couldn’t take the pill

Mario Badescu AHA body soap. I constantly recommend it for this and KP on the arms. Has been my lifesaver for the last decade.

If there painful they are deep enough to press onto the nerve endings which is actually quite deep.

My dr was great, she said she wouldn’t put up with it & didn’t expect patients to do so either.

Inflamed skins very fragile, if you scrub the skin it can get really sore.

It’s not a cleanliness issue, you have a bacterial infection in your skin that your body can’t fight off easily.
