Revlon Pro Collection One Step Styler – what’s the difference between this and a ‘regular’ hot air styler?

I’ve been using Babyliss Big Hair (with rotating brush) for ages, but if I’m not careful I end up rather too bouffant. So I think I need a hot air styler that doesn’t rotate. I need an appliance that will smooth my hair, give a little body, some shape to the ends, but not Big Hair. The Revlon Pro Collection One Step keeps catching my eye, but is it just a lot of hype? Hot air stylers have been around for years, and before I invest, can someone tell me what all the fuss is about ??

I got the revlon one step and I like it. A lot of people say it's life changing etc but I wouldn't go that far. I have only had it a couple of weeks and I like it so far. It doesn't take that long to do and it gives my hair a bit more volume and shape than usual. I have fairly thick hair so blast my roots with my hair dryer first.
I also watched a couple of videos on youtube as after I done it first time I thought the product was rubbish and didn't do much. At first I was just brushing it dry but I watched a video that you roll the hair up and hold and it's made a big difference.

I really like mine. With no skill or particular effort my hair looks sleek and styled. It also holds its shape better than when I used a brush and normal dryer.

I love mine! I have thick wavy hair with a tendency to frizz but with this I can achieve a lovely smooth finish. It's much easier to use than a rotating brush and never traps your hair like rotating ones do.

I leave my hair to air dry first until it's almost dry.

I've always been really useless at styling with a hairdryer in one hand and a brush in the other! But I'm aiming for the 'sleek and styled' look, like the last poster.

I have had the round one since Saturday. I really like it. I can dry my hair from towel dried fairly quickly, and it looks nicely styled.

It doesn't make my hair too big, but it does give it a bit of body. I don't need to straighten after, and it's much easier on my back, neck and shoulder than using a brush and hairdryer.

So you don’t think the Revlon would give me helmet hair?

I've had one for a couple of weeks and I'm really happy with it. I have quite coarse andover processed hair and it turns me from Crystal Tipps (showing my age) to looking presentable.
I did watch a couple of YouTube videos to get the hang of it.

I had the other one with the flat brush but returned it as I found it awful, it was impossible to get to the roots with it. The rounded brush one is far better.

Re; helmet head. Sometimes it leaves my hair a bit too 'rounded' so I give it a quick go over with the straighteners afterwards. But I haven't found the perfect dryer that dries smooth and perfectly straight yet, unfortunately!

sometimes it leaves my hair a bit too rounded so I give it a quick go with the straighteners afterwards this is exactly what I find with my Babyliss Big Hair - I end up "bouffant" so need the straighteners afterwards. I need the Babyliss to smooth, and then the straighteners to straighten! I want one appliance that does both things but am beginning to wonder if it hasn't been invented yet!

I don't think it has coffee but when it comes on the market I'll buy it!
