Help !! I hate my highlights what can I do

I had highlights this afternoon. Usually she keeps my brunette colour as dominant and there are scattered highlights. She put more in turn usual, loads more and I hate it.
She never normally does the front and I was thinking that as she applied it but like a dick I didn't say anything.
I hate the front. I hate the line of brunette then boom this horrible brassy colour.

What can I do???
Would a box dye of brown with me applying here and there help??
Fuck !!

Nothing wrong with them. They’re nice

Lamplighter234 · 21/02/2020 21:21

I think it looks nice, definitely don’t put a box dye on it!

BigRedBoat · 21/02/2020 21:35

Your hair looks great!

AmazingGreats · 21/02/2020 21:37

Don't DIY but if you really don't like it either go back to that hairdresser or go see a colour technician and have a toner applied or some more lowlights threaded through.

Spied · 21/02/2020 21:44

Looks good -but if it's not what you asked for then hairdresser has done a bad job.
I'd say go back and speak to them- but I'm sitting here in a similar situation after my hairdresser totally f*Ed up mine!!
Asked for dark base with caramel highlights.
Got 3" dark routes then complete block of brassy yellow to the ends.

pelirocco123 · 21/02/2020 21:51

It looks nice ,but if you dont like it go back and they can add darker bits in

painintheholeSIL · 21/02/2020 21:53

Hairdresser here. Don't ask for a toner. You don't need one. The blonde is lovely and it looks very well done but if it's too much you need to ask her to put a lowlite through it. Really fine ones the same shade as your natural colour.

buttonup26 · 21/02/2020 22:06

It looks lovely and very natural.

Clovertoast · 21/02/2020 22:19

Thank you everyone. I don't like it but maybe i need to give it some time.

I love it! Sorry!

SouthWestmom · 21/02/2020 22:45

Do you mean it's really dark at the sides and then light? If you dont like it get it changed, it's your money.

Sofacat · 21/02/2020 22:56

Do you just have blonde or a mix of blonde and brunette?

If you just have blonde, then unless the hairdresser picks up exactly the same sections , you will end up with more and more blonde each time you have it done.

I think it looks lovely though.

Gemma2019 · 22/02/2020 00:01

Definitely give it some time to get used to it - it's really nice, and good to have a change from time to time.

Clovertoast · 25/02/2020 12:19

Thanks all. I have given it a while and still hate it.
Im booked in to have low lights my natural colour put in tommorrow afternoon.
No charge, they were very nice and I feel terribly guilty !
