Early 30s one big bastard forehead line. Ideas?

I have good skincare (theordinary buffet, hyaluronic acid, a good moisturiser, sunblock; face brush with cleanser then glycolic acid toner and oil based moisturiser at night plus regular masks, peels and olive oil massage from time to time), never smoked, wear sunblock daily and don't drink excessively (or not very often!), collagen and perfectil supplements, loads of water etc.

However my mum has really bad forehead wrinkles and I am starting to get one in particular that seems less inclined to go away following moisturising, sheet masks etc.

I know it's not the end of the world but any recommendations for slowing the progress of forehead lines? I'm starting microdermabrasion next week as I have some scarring due to being a picker and hoping this will help but was hoping not to go down the route of fillers/ botox.

Nothing except Botox will actually work

MoltonSilver · 20/02/2020 23:16

Botox.

Regulargit · 20/02/2020 23:52

Came to say botox

Feelingabitashamed · 21/02/2020 03:50

Thanks all. With botox, what is the maintenance like, how often would I have to get it done and would it look worse if I didnt keep that up?

Probably every 3-6 months I'd say. I'm 43 have been having botox twice yearly and have noticed I can go longer between treatments as those lines aren't getting worse as I'm not creasing them iyswim!

I’m 37 and have had Botox a few times on a line between my brows because it gives me permanent RBF. I don’t find it hard to maintain, it just reappears as the Botox wears off but as pp said, I find I can go longer between appointments each time.

potbellend · 21/02/2020 07:36

Yep Botox x

ClubfootMaestro · 21/02/2020 07:39

I am thinking of getting this - does it make you look different and frozen like some of the celebs you see who look like they can’t move their face properly, or is that only if it’s excessive? Also does it hurt?

DamnItsSevenAM · 21/02/2020 07:46

My suggestion is that you embrace the way you are naturally ageing and stop worrying about unimportant details like a line on your face. Enjoy life, dress how you like, be active, smile a lot, eat well, do stuff you enjoy. None of us are going to stay how we look now and if we get trapped into a cycle of cosmetic interventions or stressing over perfectly natural ageing then it's going to be a miserable life imo. Just forget about the line - so what if you have one? It doesn't change the person you are.

Retinol

KathMM · 21/02/2020 07:47

You could try Plasma Fibroblast. A friend of mine has recently had a treatment on the fine lines around her eyes and the deeper lines between her eyebrows, and the results are fantastic! The only downside is you will have to deal with the little dots around the treatment area for 5 to 10 days 😂

RebeccaCloud9 · 21/02/2020 07:50

Ooh PRP

YoureFunny · 21/02/2020 07:54

Try vitamin C oil

JMAngel1 · 21/02/2020 07:59

Add in a retinol and a vitamin C powder first and get a dermarollsr.
You're too young for botox.

Growingboys · 21/02/2020 08:02

Botox. Easy. Don't overthink it.

TheWordmeister · 21/02/2020 08:48

Only Botox will get rid of it.
