Looking for reviews before I buy a course of this.

No but I invented and tried a do it yourself face lift involving clothes pegs and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. My eyebrows haven't recovered are too scared to come down from my hairline and I've lost bunches of hair, have to use a felt tip to cover the scalp.

The above is not true, I just made it up.

Seriously, I looked up CACI and there are several reviews, one posted below. It seems like a slow job, having treatments once or twice a week for a few weeks, meaning one course, followed by once a month. The woman writing the review said once a month was not enough, should be fortnightly!

Only you can decide if you can hack it. It wouldn't appeal to me but that's just me. I suppose it can't hurt to try.

I've tried it and would say it does work, especially on jowls, but unless you can spend the time and money every month, then it's all pretty pointless - so it's a lot to spend out on a short term fix iyswim. Now I use a nuface mini, which is similar but not as good effects but a lot less time and money.

NuFace mini looks good, I might consider buying one. Thanks for the tip, Cinnamoncake.

What you said about CACI is the conclusion I came to from just reading about it. I think having to keep going back for more treatment would become tedious and depressing, I expect a lot of people 'drop out' of the course.

I've done it about three years ago but let it slide because of other commitments, and now plan to go back.

I think money is more of an issue than time. You start with an intensive course, usually of 10 sessions over three weeks. Yes, fitting this in might be tricky, but a lot of salons have late night opening. After that it's an hour a month. The course of 10 tends to cost less than 10 individual treatments.

When I last had it done someone at work commented one day - obviously it wasn't something I'd talked about so they didn't know - that I looked 10 years younger!! (Hmm...) But I certainly think it makes a difference.

Did a course and literally noone noticed. Not even me

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 20/02/2020 17:31

I did at course at my local college where the students were charging £12 a treatment it did make a difference but its obviously only ever going to be temporary.

wink1970 · 20/02/2020 18:23

Yep tried it, it made a small difference in my 30s, especially around the eyebrow area. I then bought 2 x Rio wands to do the same thing at home (c. £200) which also worked in my 30s, doing it once every few days whilst listening to the radio for 30 minutes.

Note the '30s' part, nothing at all has worked in my 40s, including collagen facials and various ultrasonic sessions.

I am 49 and have just had my first botox, I'm going for fillers and Profhilo next week ..... will keep you posted.

Yes I am about to hit 50, yes I am going to throw money at it Grin no I don't expect much, but i'm going to try.

RuggyPeg · 20/02/2020 22:50

Exactly the same as Wink. It all kinda works in your 30s (when you don't even need it) but it absolutely does nothing age 45+. Botox n fillers n lasers n facelifts is the only think that works after 45 sadly.

zeddybrek · 21/02/2020 01:03

It made such a difference to face. I'm 38 and haggered from running after the kids and felt fed up.

It is annoying in that you have to have lots for the first few weeks but then the difference for me was noticeable. Subtle but made me look less tired and the early jowls were gone. My eyes looked slightly lifted too.

I don't have it anymore because you have to maintain the look which means it actually works out expensive and time consuming.

TorkTorkBam · 21/02/2020 01:05

Yes it worked a bit.

Face yoga works better and is free.
