I'm getting better and better at Pilates and now losing weight too. Can anyone creodt pilates with proving their shape?

Congrats on the weight loss!

I find that with weight loss (20lbs or so) and a range of exercise my body shape still remains v similar and the areas am less keen on (tummy since having DC!) stay the same, and stay the same shape-wise. “Targeted” “shaping” is reportedly v tricky.

Am sure pilates would help with the mid section though given its focus on the core etc. A friend who had full-term, good sized twins and another who had SPD both rave about pilates for both health (eg helping reduce / stop pain) and looks reasons, they’ve both continued for many years.

Pilates does help to change your shape, as long as you practice regularly -- ideally at least 3x each week. Allied to weight loss, you will see results but sadly not overnight! (I wish). But you will look better anyway once your body learns the correct carriage and you can keep your core slightly tightened (about 30%) all the time, without thought or conscious effort. Shoulder blades drawn lightly down and together will give you better posture, and presents as confidence.
